Part of the fun of watching the fans’ reaction to @SuicideSquadWB has been seeing all the art inspired by the film! (out NOW in theaters and on @HBOmax!) In that spirit—I sketched up this image of some of my favorites from this film’s cast…1/7

(and mind you, it was tough choosing as I just *love* the entire ensemble—simply brilliant casting).
But who would have ever dreamt to see Starro, TDK, and #kingshark much less the #PolkaDotMan ever in an epic, tent pole, big budget #dccomics film!?!? 2/7

And handled with such creativity, thoughtfulness, reverence and affection by the visionary and ever meticulous director @jamesgunn? James clearly brings out the best of the actors’ performances: @NathanFillion embraces his role as TDK with open arms 😎…3/7

and @steveagee performs double duty with inimitable range as both the snarky Task Force X ops coordinator Economos & also as the lovable but lethal King Shark (voiced by the legendary @TheSlyStallone). And @Dastmalchian elevates the Polka Dot Man to top tier supervillain…4/7

status with a stand out, poignant performance which highlights how odd yet relatable, and kind but terrifying The Polka Dot Man truly is. At the end of the day—everyone knows and loves DC because of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman—5/7

but longtime fans recognize that part of what makes the DC universe unique and fun and different are these kinds of characters—the absurd, over the top, badasses of the Suicide Squad. ☠️🖤☠️🖤6/7
