Testing new teams, testing new comps, testing new builds and ideally their only focus is keeping the game simple, staying within striking distance and building for the last few weeks of the season.

Most top players have 15-20 teams that they can leverage at all times.
Meaning they don't even show you their best because they don't have any need to.
Also meaning you cannot game plan for them lol. π€©

With that said, in the arena while you are climbing you might face hundreds of different teams.
It's just the nature of the game, there are so many card combinations that it's impossible to gameplan or win every game.
A 57% win rate is pretty damn good (hard to achieve).

When you are playing random arena opponents all day it become a combination of luck, matching up with the right people + skill/high level gameplay (the stuff the top players have).

For example if a top player is winning 80% of his matches against lineups hes optimal against and winning 35-40% of his matches against lineups hes weak against. THATS EXCEPTIONAL
Thats what separates Indes, Elijah, Mpach, Azarian, etc....from the rest of the pack

The point of all of this is to say that there is no defined meta in arena, you legit need multiple teams to make it to the top, you also need market knowledge and timing to know when to use your best lineups and most importantly you need high level skill.

You can effectively gameplan for terminator reptiles because there are 31,000 of them in the game LMAO. π€£π€£π€£ 
Top players have tons of 1 of 1s...game planning for them...not so easy. Good luck this season
