When I was in Mombasa, I was running a Madrasa with over 600 children for 3 years.
Some parents would remove their children from schools completely and make their children join the Madrasa fulltime so that they memorised the
#HolyQuran while getting tuition teachers to teach them in the evenings so that they don't miss out in their Secular Education. 3-4 years down the line when they are done memorizing the #HolyQuran, the go back to school and continue with their Secular Education.
I really admired
the dedication & the devotion these parents had towards the Book of ALLAH where they wanted their children to memorise the #HolyQuran. A Book that has over 600 pages and the child memorises it from cover to cover before the age of 12 years. This was a Noble Deed and the reward
that comes with it in this World & the Hereafter is immense.
One thing that I've noticed about these children who have memorised the #HolyQuran is that they end up having #Sharp_Memories & Perform well in their Secular Education.
But that Shouldn't be the Primary reason why you
should want your child to memorise the #HolyQuran. Our success in the Hereafter comes first before our success in this World.
While reading a newspaper in my office one morning, I came across an article that was explaining about Dyslexia. I realised that I had a dozen of
students at my Madrasa who had the exact similar signs of people who had #Dyslexia.
These were students who would take 4 - 7 days just to Memories a whole page of the #HolyQuran while their other students would Memories a page or two in just one Day.
The parents were frustrated
and the teachers were frustrated and so were the students.
These #Parents would ask me to Pray for their Children and would even confess that the only reason why they got their children out of school is because they never performed well in school and would repeat in every class.
The Madrasa #Teachers couldn't explain why their students were not performing well and it really frustrated them.
But no one was hurting more than these students themselves. They would put effort more than any other #Student and yet still wouldn't be able to achieve 10% of what
the other students would achieve. #Dyslexia is a learning disorder that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words (decoding)
Generally there are 7 Learning Disabilities and #Dyslexia is just one of them
If a child is not performing well, it is the responsibility of the #Parent to try and find out if he or she has a learning disability with the help of teachers.
It is critical to be aware of how others learn & be aware of learning differences, particularly learning disabilities.

“My #Lord, I am truly in great need of any good that You might send down to me.”
(Surah al Qasas 28: 24)
The wordings of this du’aa are so beautiful that they flow directly from the bottom of a Believer’s heart ❤️

This young man was none other than the great #Prophet_Musa, alaihis salam.
Let me put it word by word:
رَبِّ = My Lord, My Sustainer!
إِنِّي = Indeed, I am
لِمَا = of whatever
أَنزَلْتَ = You send (down)
إِلَيَّ = to Me
مِنْ = of
خَيْرٍ = Good
فَقِيرٌ = (in) need

This du’aa directly knocks at the door of the #Giver, Al Wah’haab. It also reveals the humble nature of the supplicant.
Help comes from Allah alone!
We need everything for our survival. And Allah alone is #Provider. He alone is the Helper. He alone is the Supporter.
