Some of my pictures from the #GreeceFires a thread π§΅
Day 1. Fire was intense. Wind changes meant we had to evacuate. Hoses were lost. A church burnt down. Desperation and destruction 
Day 2. Part 1. The fire grew and grew. We tried to find a strategic location to fight it and protect houses
Day 2. Part 2. We picked a spot, let it come and fought it.
Day 3. Messy day, getting close and personal and going inside where needed
Day 4. Regrouping, cleaning equipment, getting rest. Oh, and a fire in a pet shop. No animal casualties πͺ
Day 5. More dirty work
Day 7. No forests today, looked after the urban areas for a change . 3 Ferraris in a garage fire π―
All trucks back now and equipment checks and maintenance begin. Itβs starting to rain so I believe (hope) we canβt draw a line under this as an incident at least with regards to Athens.
