Why creators & startups need to focus building community👇🏿
Community helps creators & startups build a base of highly engaged evangelists.
Audience < Community
Community gives a group of people some sense of belonging, makes them feel like they’re part of something bigger than themselves and connect with other people around your brand, product or content.
People who are part of a community have an experience with your brand that becomes much more than just products and services. They develop strong emotions around your brand that goes deeper than what’s “normal”.
The connection people build with your brand as part of community leads to stronger loyalty and possibly better conversion / growth.
People who love WHY you do what you do, want you to win, so they get other people to help you do it.
By creating platforms, events and content that helps your community connect, you get a front-row view on what their pain points are, what they need most and how you can build the solution for them.
Engaged & authentic reviews that help you create / build better products.
Other people can copy your content, your brand, or even your voice. But copying the community you’ve built around why you do something… that’s hard. Maybe impossible.
The best creators & startups are building movements or churches or cults or whatever you call it when people can forgo their self interest to help the collective thrive.
A larger audience doesn’t necessarily mean bigger wins.
Go deep, then go deeper and then check if there’s any more deeper you can go - but never go wide.
