While political insiders are finally taking a stance on mask mandates, let's address the fact that no elected officials have used their position to call for greater data transparency on vaccines or projected infection rates in schools. (Equity Council/August 11/Open Meeting)

It is essential that @RIHEALTH and @TomMacCarthaigh share demographic breakdowns and projected risk analysis for kids of all age groups, including 12+, in order to evaluate the impact of no mask mandates, and what we already know was an inequitable vaccine roll-out program. 2/6
In addition, all public health officials (data scientists, epidemiologists, physicians, and operators) have an ethical and moral responsibility to reduce harm, and to disclose any and all risks to individuals, prior to sending children into highly transmissible environments. 3/6
Further privatization of our public health system has resulted in a rigidly structured public health response, which has failed to adequately support disenfranchised communities in their outreach efforts,and is now failing to support local school districts and municipalities. 4/6
