The following day, Monday, April 13, 2015, she set off on a road trip to Iowa, stopping for lunch at Chipotle in Maumee, just outside Toledo, off the @OhioTurnpike.
Well, we know that in Cuyahoga County [ Cleveland ], there was a significant Presidential undervote; people filled out their ballots with their selections, but left President blank.
@ackocher You can actually help America by looking at a specific example, such as the family of Liam Conejo Ramos, from Ecuador, to explain why this matters.
Nobody, not even the family’s most vocal supporters, has ever identified any ground for asylum, because there isn’t any.
1/
@ackocher As you know, seeking a better life is both admirable and understandable, but doesn’t qualify for asylum.
Like all countries, Ecuador has its problems, but nothing going on there qualifies for asylum.
Ecuador even has a Consulate in Minneapolis to help its nationals.

@ackocher Immigration advocates complain loudly, of course, but if the American people wanted to welcome the entire world to live in their communities, Congress would change the law.
They’re really angry at @TheDemocrats for losing the election, but cannot admit the real reason.
But if high-powered @nytimes wanted to spell correctly the surname of President @TheBushCenter’s White House Counsel and Attorney General @argonzales, @nytimes would have carefully checked every story.
I wonder how carefully @StatePRM was in selecting him to live in Buffalo, New York, when he was apparently arrested in February 2025, mere months after arriving in December 2024, and spent a year in jail.
Where was his family?
Where was the refugee NGO?
1/
@M_Sawyed @RepYvetteClarke @StatePRM Sadly, how could anyone expect a blind 50+ year old man, apparently all alone in the world, to find a job and live in a strange city with a robust, full-season climate?
Was the Biden Administration trying to exceed 100,000 refugee admissions before it left office 01/20/2025?
2/
@M_Sawyed @RepYvetteClarke @StatePRM I think he would have been better off staying in a refugee camp in his home region; his American dream, whatever it may have been, turned into a nightmare.
Americans expect our federal officials, both @CBP and @StatePRM, to do their jobs with professionalism.
