@JamesMartinSJ Sadly, human trafficking NGOs coach people to create a scene like this.

Given that America is enforcing its laws, including immigration laws, do you have any specific suggestions or recommendations? @JamesMartinSJ usccb.org/beliefs-and-te…

@WalshFreedom If a foreign national has a Final Order of Deportation, due process has been completed, even if some concerned citizens may not like it.

If the American people agreed with you, Congress would change the law. @WalshFreedom Under current law, mere presence in our country, in violation of law, does not eventually qualify anyone to remain permanently, even without a criminal record.

What you are advocating is not current law.

President Trump swore to “faithfully execute” the laws as they are.

@USCIS @TravelGov Please review the exhibits at @StatueEllisNPS Ellis Island re the current immigration process.

Adopted children are not “naturalized” at a U.S. Consulate. Image Similarly, the U.S. Consulate issues Immigrant Visas but not “green cards.”

It’s quite clear that nobody involved in the current legal immigration process was consulted when these displays were prepared. Image

⁦@VP⁩ ⁦@JDVance⁩

This reminds me of your ⁦@nytimes⁩
interview with ⁦@MarthaRaddatz⁩ re “only a handful” of apartment complexes taken over by criminal gangs.

Here, a DWI conviction doesn’t “place a large segment” of people at risk startribune.com/deportation-co… So placing American citizens at risk of murder by a drunk driver is Perfectly Acceptable provided that it’s not “a large segment of the general population.”

I see.

So perhaps only some American lives matter?

Someone needs to be educated.

⁦@RadioFreeTom⁩, you are quite correct that Americans have lost faith in government and experts.

Ohio canceling a scheduled election on March 17, 2020, and public health letting politics drive ‘science,’ did it for me.

1/
theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/… I therefore wonder why you deleted - just a few weeks ago - your June 2022 tweet, to which I responded with this:

@BDHerzinger Yes, this reminds me of Enron and what really happened in the file room.

Someone, probably a HS graduate, had the boring job of shredding audit supporting documents after the required retention period, and keeping records of what was destroyed.

Somebody fired him to save $.

1/
@BDHerzinger Nobody else knew, or cared.

They just assumed that the files automatically self-destructed after the mandatory retention period.

Then, when everything imploded, Enron noticed it had all these old files.

Once they’re subpoenaed, it’s obstruction of justice.

Too bad.

Now is the perfect opportunity to get rid of Leahy Vetting, once and for all.

While almost everyone in the Executive Branch understands / applies its principles as part of our foreign policy, everyone hates the process.

1/
So why not just stop doing it?

See if @LeaderJohnThune @SpeakerJohnson Congress objects.

@OMBpress @russvought @StateDRL @statepm

Our government has done, and continues to do, many things by inertia only.

Just stop doing Leahy Vetting, and see if anyone notices.

Because @TheDemocrats suck, President @realDonaldTrump has earned the right to govern as 47. @kenmartin73

Many of the USAID agreements etc. can be terminated at the convenience of the government. That’s clearly happening; sorry for the disruption.

1/ Just because the previous Administration chose to fund transgender drag shows in Peru, that doesn’t mean it’s fraud, even if someone in the current Administration doesn’t like it, and rightly so.

Cancel any agreement that’s still valid, pay valid bills, and wind things up.

@stevesi28838948 I have a specific suggestion.

for former officials, a very brief time period, just long enough for a threat assessment and making private arrangements, if needed.

Yes, the government should pay for private security based on threat assessments and means-tested.

1/
@stevesi28838948 for private security, the only issue is money.

If a former government official is under threat, and passes the means test, it’s not wrong for the government to pay.

Active-duty personnel need to focus on current officials.

Otherwise, it becomes a boondoggle.
