2) For this $6.2 billion acquisition to happen, Nexstar needs the approval of the FCC and it needs the FCC to lift the 39% cap on the number of households one company is permitted to reach through TV station ownership.
3) Trump-appointed FCC chair Brendan Carr in May suggested his mind was open to repealing "arcane, artificial limits on how many TV stations any one company can own."
