The night I was blown up and lost my legs there was an Afghan interpreter with us. Thanks to Joe Biden's incompetence, he and his family (& countless others) have an impossible choice to make… 1/4
The first item needed for our Afghan allies to get a special immigrant visa is a letter from a US military commander outlining their work with us. Anyone who keeps this and gets captured will be killed by the Taliban on the spot… 2/4
But anyone who does burn this letter to cover their tracks will not be able to get into the United States, and they will be on the run worrying about who is coming for them for the rest of their lives... 3/4
Biden’s incompetence is destroying the lives of men and women who sacrificed everything for us, our country, peace and stability. 4/4 cnn.com/2021/08/15/asi…

One member of our team was an Afghan interpreter who I’ll call Tom. Tom always had a helmet that was too big and the weight of his night vision goggles would make it wobble like a bobblehead on a dashboard. 2/4
Once, he was on a mission and his tennis shoes got stuck in the mud so he finished the mission barefoot. He had a young son and daughter. He fought alongside us, was a friend to America, and now, I have no idea where he or his family is. 3/4

For our allies who were stuck in the bureaucratic process to obtain a visa, they are now sleeping in pomegranate orchards with their family or pot fields out in the tribal areas, moving from safe house to house to not be found as they are hunted by the Taliban. 2/5
