| THREAD: HAZRAT ABBAS ALAMDAR -- MAN WHO RAISED THE STANDARD OF BROTHERHOOD |
Hazrat Abbas was son of 4th Rashidun Caliph Imam Ali and half brother of Imam Hassan & Imam Hussain. His mother's name was Fatima, who was also known as Ummul Banin. Hazrat Abbas was born in Medina...
...on 7th Rajab 26 AH. When the news of his birth reached Imam Ali, he prostrated himself on ground as a token of his humble thanks to Allah. Imam Hussain took the baby in his arms and recited Azan and Eqamat (call for prayers) in his right and left...
...ears respectively. Hazrat Abbas was a towering and handsome personality. His dauntless courage, supreme confidence and unflinching loyalty earned him many titles and the manner in which he sacrificed his life earned him the title "Afzal-ul-Shuhada" (the choicest of the...
...martyrs) and "Saqqa" (water carrier), because he sacrificed his life in an effort to procure water for Imam Hussain's children in the Battle of Karbala. He fully lived up to his name Abbas, which in Arabic stands for "Lion". Imam Ali, who himself was known...
...as the "Lion of Allah", brought up Hazrat Abbas and ably guided him until he was fourteen years old. The next ten years of Hazrat Abbas's life were spent under careful eye of his elder brother Imam Hassan & last ten years with Imam Hussain. Imam Ali's desire was...
...to ensure that Abbas preached the religion of Islam & served the Prophet's family. Hazrat Abbas saw his first battle when he was only eleven. This was the battle of Siffen. One day he appeared fully disguised, masked & armoured, on the battlefield. When Ibn-e-Shasa, a...
...brave and famous Syrian fighter saw the masked person, he asked one of his seven sons to slay him. Instead, the son was quickly put down. Similarly, other six sons tried to fight this masked warrior, but they all met the same fate. Finally, Ibn-e-Shasa himself came...
...forward and the manner in which he was also beaten, made all other people stare in disbelief. They thought this masked fighter to be Imam Ali and no one dared to come forward and fight. But when Hazrat Abbas removed the mask, people were surprised to note...
...that he was not Imam Ali, but instead, the inheritor of Imam Ali's gallantry.
The occasion for the supreme sacrifice came on the battlefield of Karbala in 680 AD when Imam Hussain was poised against Yazid's forces. It was a battle of good against evil and right...
...against wrong.
The manner in which Hazrat Abbas laid down his life for his elder brother Imam Hussain, showed supreme self-sacrifice and love for brother. He fought valiantly to protect his brother Imam Hussain and it was only after he lost both his arms...
...that he fell.
In the battle of Karbala, Hazrat Abbas was Imam Hussain's Commander-in-Chief and carrier of the ALAM (replica of the banner of the Prophet PBUH and the Imams), that's the reason he is known as "ABBAS ALAMDAR".
He stayed beside Imam Hussain ever since...
...they left Medina & he was loved by all members of the Imam's family. The battle started and companions of Imam Hussain, heavily outnumbered by the enemy, began to fall. The three brothers of Hazrat Abbas: Abdullah, Jafar and Usman, as well...
...as Hazrat Abbas's two sons, Fazl and Qasim fought with rare gallantry before being martyred.
The cries of water raised by the children in Imam Hussain's camp on the day of Ashura, deeply grieved Hazrat Abbas. After taking permission from Imam Hussain, he took the...
...empty water-bay of Janab-e-Sukaina (Hazrat Ruqayah), daughter of Imam Hussain and rode towards the river Euphrates. Cutting through the rank and file of Yazid's army, he rushed to the bank of the river, filled the bag with water and started towards the camp. Yazid's army...
...encircled the gallant Hazrat Abbas Alamdar. He kept water-bag in one hand and started fighting with the other. When both his hands were severed, he gripped the water-bag strap with his teeth. The severe blow from a mace on his head shook him badly and he fell off his horse...
...and called out to Imam Hussain. Imam Hussain reached him with great difficulty & placed his head on his lap. Hazrat Abbas then opened his eyes to cast a last look at his brother Imam Hussain's face & breathed his last.
The story of the sacrifice of his life in trying to...
...procure water for Imam's children on battlefield is the most touching & significant in Islamic history.
Life of Hazrat Abbas Alamdar is an example of unflinching loyalty & love for a brother. It is also the story of a warrior who sacrificed his life for the cause of Islam.

Do you know, locals from Waziristan used to give information about drone targets (exact location & time) to CIA for money. CIA never knew about exact location of their targets. Locals like Mohsin Dawar (supporters of drones) worked with CIA for money. Truth be known!
The killing of TTP terrorists in drone attacks in areas where even Pakistan Army had zero presence was not a miracle. Drones need on ground target identification & tracking. The same identification & tracking was provided by non other than the locals of Waziristan themselves.
You must have seen killing of TTP high value targets in drones attacks in far flung areas of Waziristan where it was impossible for CIA to locate those targets. Even Pakistan Army reached those area after large scale operations. But still CIA was...
Three TTP terrorists have been killed & multiple injured when terrorists tried to attack on a border post of FC KP on Durand Border in Bajaur District. Attack was repulsed & infiltration attempt foiled.
During fire encounter, Sepahi Jamal & Sepahi Ayaz of FC KP have embraced shahadat. Heroes
No one, when this old man @apnafrymind from @PakistanFia@dgfia who is a PTM lover tells people that he (Hasaan) was involved in 2010 sectarian crises 😄 (in 2010 I was in school), he's cousin of some PPP MNA Turi 😁 & also that he was arrested by Army long ago 😂 -- my reaction:

The hero, Captain Junaid fought like a lion, led his combat team from the front during counterterrorism operation against TTP in Datta Khel, North Waziristan. 9 hardcore terrorists were killed by his team, but himself received multiple bullet injuries & embraced shahadat.
Tribute to Captain Junaid Irfan Abbasi Shaheed.
He was a thorough gentleman and a professional soldier. Hero!

Why 19 Aug 1919 is a "Black Day" for Pashtuns of KP region?
On 19 Aug 1919, "Durand Line Agreement" or "Anglo-Afghan Treaty 1919" was formally singed between British India & Afghanistan. In this treaty, the then...
