Secondly, Ashwath Narayan & crew have devised the #NEP only by rote-learning Savarna catchphrases like 'technical skills', 'global competence', 'holistic', & 'nuance'. If anything, it shows their incompetence with words & a failure to grasp the diversity in student community.
Thirdly, thousands of language and other teachers might lose their jobs IN THE PANDEMIC. Colleges, teachers, & students are NOT prepared to jump ship suddenly in the middle of the academic year.
Our classes are not your father's home biryani that you can put kai like this whenever you want.
I know at least 8 teachers who believe that teaching is a form of love. They've taken care to treat every text, story, poem they do in class as if it's changed their life. This is the kind of intimacy that the saffron-weilding #NEP is attacking.
Ashwath Narayan is terrified of open dialogues, the very thing he thinks his #NEP will bring. Why so terrified of consulting teachers before imposing it, sir? Learnt all your tricks from our PM no?
It's when the state fucks with us the most that I wonder what Babasaheb would've done if he was around. There is a reason why the #NEP makes Dalit & Bahujan teachers and students more vulnerable.
