With Tropical Storm Henri's projected path taking it close to #Nantucket by early Sunday morning, Nantucket Harbormaster Sheila Lucey is planning to vacate and close the town pier by Saturday, asking all boats anchored in the harbor to be pulled from the water or moved elsewhere.
"We're expecting really strong north and northeast winds, which is the worst direction for Nantucket Harbor. We know we'll have astronomical high tides, and with a northeast wind, the tide doesn't go out. We're we're expecting high tides, flooding, and many issues,” Lucey said.
At the Children’s Beach Boat ramp Thursday afternoon, Juan Manuel Acosta of Glyn’s Marine said he and the team would be pulling boats until dark.

By 1pm there were community service officers directing traffic and a line of trucks with boat trailers waiting to haul out
