See, right-wingers have been taking fat Ls for a while. Gay marriage, trans rights, civil rights, the sexual revolution, etc.

In addition to attacking sex workers, they also attack anyone who makes or enjoys adult media.
They do this by implying anyone who likes porn is a hopeless addict who needs help to be saved from their misery. This disguises their aims under a cloak of good faith.

Of course porn addiction is a real thing and some people actually do need help. But the answer isn't outright abolition. It never is, not when it comes to drugs OR abstinence.

These people are not subtle with their ideology. They will directly tell you what their end-goal is. They won't stop until their sex-free utopia is attained. By pretending to care about sex trafficking victims they can eliminate all porn on the internet, real or fiction.

I know many big NSFW artists despise getting "political" and even enjoy catering to alt right edgelords, but make no mistake they will laugh with you and then stab you in the back afterwards.

So what does the future hold? Well basically I believe that due to this new tactic of pressuring payment processors, porn will soon be wholly eliminated from most large sites. This includes furry art, hentai, adult comics, etc.

There are three possible solutions I see happening:
1. Companies fight back against payment processors (lmao)
2. Payment processors fight back against religious lobbying (double lmao)
3. Porn fully adopts decentralization and forms a "second internet" (likely)

1 and 2 are not likely to happen because nobody wants to be seen as defending sex trafficking, even though there are better ways to fight against the illegal sex trade while aiding victims.

As a matter of fact, driving sex work away from mainstream sites and towards shady, decentralized networks will only INCREASE the amount of sex trafficking that goes on, helping it avoid detection and regulation.
