The Deschutes County Republican Party is scheduled to host a fundraiser featuring Raheem Kassam and Natalie Winters of The National Pulse, a right-wing website that promotes COVID and China-centric conspiracy theories and defends accused underage sex trafficker Rep. Matt Gaetz.
Kassam recently mocked Capitol Police Officers testifying regarding the January 6, 2021, insurrection. He also has a record of disparaging the LGBTQ+ community, particularly transgender people, and the Muslim community. #orpol

Following Rep. Nearman’s hearing on criminal charges stemming from his enabling violent rioters to enter the Oregon Capitol in December, @ORDems reissued our call for Nearman to resign or be expelled from the Oregon House. Read our statement: #orpol

For years, Rep. Mike Nearman’s hateful anti-immigrant rhetoric has opened the door for extremists and white nationalists to further escalate their tactics of violence and intimidation.
In December, as video footage clearly shows, Nearman literally opened the door for armed, violent rioters to illegally enter the Oregon Capitol building and attack Oregon State Police.
