1/12
So I promised to provide additional information on some thoughts I had about the future decentralization of @staratlas and information that I gathered from interviews with @at_mwagner on YouTube.
Sry for the missing '/12's sometimes. Had no space left - hurts my eyes too.
2/12
POLIS will govern decision making and make it possible realized cashflows from ingame economic activity.
Outside of the game, “the POLIS token gives people voting rights externally for the future development decision making of @Staratlas as an entity”.
3/ But in the end, there currently is one company behind this. I assume that with the hype around this project they will be able to pull a good amount of money in with the sale of in-game NFT assets and at the same time hopefully create an amazing experience for players as well.
4/12
I asked my self what the vision of @at_mwagner regarding decentralization of @staratlas was. This is what I found (all direct quotes from interviews - links provided):
5/ 12
(1/2)
“In the future, the POLIS governance and DAO token holders could say "we don't want Star Atlas team to build the Star Atlas metaverse anymore. We just become a vendor, so we're moving in the direction of full decentralization of the metaverse, where we don't own it,
6/12
(2/2)
it's not ours, it belongs to the world and the people that have governance over it through the ownership of POLIS. So we just become a vendor.” (49:00)
7/ “We happen to be the vendor that has the monopoly on creation of game assets right now. It's also our vision and we have a vision on how it should be executing going forward. But over time we're going to lose our rights as we distribute POLIS tokens to the community.” (49:24)
8/12
“What's really nice about the decentralized world is - we don't have to build everything. We're going to empower other people to build and monetize features which we can integrate into the game that leverages our assets.” (24:03)
9/12
(1/4)
“I think it's really transformative in a way that - I think games will be developed out in the future because you're recruiting a collective effort of the world for anybody who sees our concept as an opportunity to now build around it.
10/ (2/4)
We're not trying to restrict this behaviour, we're trying to encourage this behaviour. For us it's about building out this robust stable economy within the metaverse. How do we do that? Well through people building and creating value that allows for the accumulation of
11/ (3/4)
more users into the metaverse because that just creates more GDP overall. The amount of value that's exchanged throughout the entire metaverse increases so we're perfectly fine with sharing that upside potential when someone else is creating something of value.” (25:48)
12/12
After hearing these things I feel like I don’t have to worry about the vision of @at_mwagner around decentralizing power to drive future of the game. I hope to see many people build amazing things together in @staratlas and hopefully in other games too 😊.

Ok so I feel like I need to make a quick post on @roguesocietynft.
Rogue Society is not just a simple pfp project, they're going in a similar direction as @pixelvault_ & @punkscomic. SIMILAR, not same.
What do I like about the project?
- The art
- Presale
- The planned utility
2
THE ART (set of 15'777):
Disclosure: I got into the presale as an early adopter and yes I am currently passionately shilling my bags, thank you for asking.
Look at this special edition piece. Personally, I fkin love the art.
The story behind how 'Jason from Telegram' tried to explain his investment thesis to @CryptoCobain about his Pixeldick NFTs on @UpOnlyT is easily one of the funniest things I've seen this year😂.
Interestingly enough, I am now reading one of the articles that Jason sent @CryptoCobain about why men draw dicks on everything: vice.com/en/article/53n…
And see, this is the problem of Freudian psychology:
"So, essentially, the people who are drawing penises over and over again are trying to assert that they have the power. That they have the phallus and do not lack."
Overinterpretation. Jeez, can't a man draw dicks for fun?
1/9 Watched a video on @staratlas with @at_mwagner and had to share this transcript. I think that this mindset so so infinitely important for a blockchain-gaming project to be able to succeed long term.
Important factors:
- iteration
- openness & vision of decentralization
2/9 I'll post the quotes first and my thoughts thereafter.
3/9 This is a product though that isn't ever intended to be complete. That might sound crazy - where we're starting though is releasing these iterative models. So over time we're just releasing features, we're not making you wait 7 years.
1/20 @StarAtlas is a play to earn game built on the @Solana blockchain. Scope of this project is around 5 years until the full unreal engine 5 version is released, but there are many steps until we actually reach that point.
Here’s a thread based on the research I conducted. 🧵
2/20
I’m very excited about this game. I’m a sucker for space exploration, crypto & NFTs, so this is 100% down my alley.
Table of contents:
-Presale and early access
-Four elements of the game
-Release phases
-Tokenomics
-In-game collaboration
-Future decentralization
1/3 Quick thought on why CBDCs (central bank digital currencies might be a good thing. Spoiler: wallets get more mindspace.
First of all, I'd assess the quality of CBDCs in whatever country by the following continuums (I hate black or white, there are always different shadings):
2/3 - Privacy VS governmental control
- Does a state want to 'ban cash'?
- Decentralization
- Openness of access to being able to validate transactions with state-independant nodes
- Is the country pro crypto?
Am I missing anything here?
3/3
CBDCs are coming in the next 5-10 years and will make having digital wallets seem even more normal than today. At least semi-bullish for crypto understanding! Will make the transotion to crypto-native stuff so much easier for the 'normies'.
