Patient complies with intake procedure which takes 1 hour. This involves nurses doing required data entry for #EHR documentation. /2
Once intake completed, pharmacists is requested to bring up medicine. Waiting time for arrival of infusion drug after getting set-up is 1.5-2 hrs /3
Patient has drug infused for 1 hr /4
Same patient had in office infusion in prior years. Total time from entry to office to departure was 1.5 hr. Current inefficiency is 2.5 hr of patient’s time waiting for others to complete their protocols. /5 #doctorHassle #protectOurCare
The added insult for the patient was dealing with an unprofessional employee who didn’t want to do infusion and preferred patient to do subq at home. Nurse was playing doctor /6
