one unexpected benefit of having your own podcast is the ability to go back and listen to your own episodes
it's incredible: someone made a podcast featuring a guest i'm interested in, talking about topics i'm interested in, asking exactly the questions i'd ask
let me listen really carefully to what they said, remember what they said, consider how it relates to my life, and how I might apply what they're sharing to my current situation and problems and goals
spend time with the people you want to spend time with, the people you enjoy spending time with, the people that have a positive and beneficial impact on your life, the people that have the skills and demonstrate the virtues you wish to cultivate
i intentionally structure my projects to create maximum benefit: as much depth of impact to as many beings as possible
i hold and act on this intention quite consciously but the specific ways I do it are semi-conscious and I would like to make them conscious and explicit, so I can do them more intentionally and so that others might adopt them as well
i think it starts with a clear sense of what is good: anything that is explicitly related to the Dharma or spirituality is nearly-automatically good, for example, with some exceptions (bad actors, poor ethics, etc.). anything pro-social, pro-environment, broadly.
