This year I am introducing our teaching and learning handbook.

This is the hyperlinked version that will be on the desktop. Lots of links to great resources, including all the fantastic @WALKTHRUs_5 clips.
Staff have been able to order a copy based on what works best for them (A4/5, colour/ black and white/ electronic)

There is space next to each page for notes to be made, some with prompt questions.

For this wanting to further their knowledge, pages are linked to CPD sessions.
We have three priorities as a school but further techniques, key research and other talking points are included.

There are hyperlinks to further reading, blogs and podcasts.

The aim is for no other paper resources to be handed out for CPD. Staff just need to bring this along.
This will inform our research group and our teaching and learning triads.

We will also be using this to introduce instructional coaching.

A lot more time will be given over to making our CPD subject specific.

I can’t wait to get started.
As many of the links are linked to a @WALKTHRUs_5 subscription, I cannot share this. I will post of the WalkThrus forum for any schools that would like to borrow any bits 👍🏻

Coronavirus: Concern over protective kit guidance change bbc.co.uk/news/uk-523355…

This got me thinking of a poem many of us know.

Here is my adaptation. How are we not protecting our only line of defence? We do not deserve these people because they deserve so much more 💙
Dulce et Decorum Est Protegeretur

Working double shifts, dressed like old beggars wearing sacks,
Weak-kneed, coughing like hags, they do not curse or budge,
Till on the daily briefings they turned their backs,
And towards their much needed rest began to trudge.
Heroes are marching asleep. Many have no PPE,
But carry on, unprotected. Ministers to blame; all blind;
Drunk with ignorance; deaf even to the cries
Of those on the front line dropping like flies.

Cough! Cough! Quick!—An ecstasy of fumbling
