Every Unorganized Worker, even the one standing in last row, will be linked with various Social Security schemes through e-SHRAM Portal, a National Database for Unorganized Workers, which will be launched today.

In e-SHRAM portal, details of unorganized workers like skill, educational qualification, place of residence, state etc. have been asked for. We will use these information to ensure that benefits like PF, Housing, Ration Card are made available to them: Secretary, @LabourMinistry
In the future when we will have more data, we can work for skill-upgradation of unorganized workers. They can be made to pursue a skill-development course in their field of work. They can also be enrolled in the National Career Service portal: Secy, @LabourMinistry #ShramevJayate
Data from e-SHRAM portal about availability of people having specific skills and in particular fields of works can also be shared with prospective employers: Secretary, @LabourMinistry
Some states had started this work on their own. We will now collate all data coming from states and then share data from e-SHRAM portal with State Govts, so that state-level benefits can be extended to the unorganized workers: Secy, @LabourMinistry
Unorganized workers who will register once in the e-SHRAM portal will not have to register again for availing any of the benefits given by the Government of India: MoS - Labour Ministry @Rameswar_Teli
