work in the new era; 4. The right perspective of the Chinese nation's history must be upheld, and the sense of national identity and pride must be boosted; 5. All ethnic groups must be equal; 6. The banner of the unity of the Chinese nation must be held high; /4

7. The system of regional ethnic autonomy must be upheld and improved, and the implementation of the CPC Central Committee's policies & decisions as well as China's laws and regulations must be guaranteed; 8. The sense of belonging for the Chinese nation must be established; /5

9. Extensive exchanges, communication and integration of various ethnic groups must be promoted; 10. Ethnic affairs must be governed in accordance with the law; 11. National sovereignty, security and development interests must be resolutely safeguarded; /6

12. The CPC's leadership over ethnic work must be upheld. Some context: the CCEA is a mechanism governing China's ethnic affairs policies, this was the second CCEA during Xi's tenure. Expect follow-up policies to implement the principles of the CCEA. /End
