Donghae almost choked on his glass of water when he saw Hyukjae washing dishes with his shirt off as he walked into the kitchen.
“What are you doing?”
“Washing dishes.”
“Shirtless?”
“It's hot!”
Donghae laughed and walked over.
He hugged Hyukjae's waist from behind.
“It is kinda hot.”
Hyukjae whined.
“I meant the weather! You idiot,” he giggled a little as he felt Donghae’s breath on his shoulder. “Let me go, you’re being weird.” Donghae laughed and stepped away.
Donghae took the oportunity to take a picture of his boyfriend. The clicking sound of the phone camera made Hyukjae look up.
He laughed softly as he saw Donghae's smile while holding his phone.
Donghae looked sideways at his boyfriend, sitting on his side of the bed, using the computer. Hyukjae didn't realize it, but he had been playing with his lips for several minutes while concentrating on whatever he was doing.
Donghae happened to find the view really interesting. What was he even doing, by the way? Donghae looked at the screen. He was replying to some emails. Not fun. He looked at Hyukjae's lips again.
“Stop,” said Hyukjae softly.
“Are you talking to me?”
“I see your reflection on the screen, stop looking at me, you make me nervous.”
Donghae smiled and brought his hand slowly to his boyfriend's face. Hyukjae slowly moved away, not really stopping Donghae from reaching him. Donghae stroked his chin.
Donghae was sleepy. It had been a long day and the traffic was worse than ever. Luckily, Hyukjae was driving them home, both in comfortable silence.
After several minutes, Donghae unavoidably started to fall asleep.
His mind wandered between the sound outside and his gradually fading consciousness. He woke up a few minutes later when he felt a hand on his cheek. The car was not moving due to the traffic jam.
“Hm?”
“Raise your head a little.”
Donghae straightened up with his eyes closed and lifted his shoulders as he felt something around his neck.
“It's cold.”
Hyukjae smiled as he adjusted the neck pillow. Donghae was sleeping in such an uncomfortable position, even seeing it was painful.
In their teenage years, Donghae got a hairstyle he hated for their upcoming debut. Hyukjae tries to comfort him.]
Hyukjae frowned as he heard a stifled cry when he arrived at the salon for his haircut appointment.
He looked around and saw a guy on the waiting room couch. He was lying face down, his face buried in a cushion, and he had a bunch of rollers in his hair. After a few seconds, Hyukjae recognized him and got closer to him.
"Donghae?"
"Go away."
"Did something happen?"
"I don't want you to see me."
"Why?"
"Just go away. Go!" Hyukjae approached his friend. He crouched down on the side of the sofa.
"I can't leave, I have an appointment," he said softly.
Donghae stayed silent. A few seconds later, he sobbed.
Hyukjae wanted to roll his eyes. While he was taking a call at the bar they decided to go to, Donghae made a new friend: the man sitting next to him.
Donghae was sometimes a bit naive, not realizing that many people were interested in him in a romantic way when Donghae just wanted to talk. Hyukjae couldn't tell the number of times someone tried to get his number when they were out on a date.
At that moment, the guy at the bar was talking to him. And he talked and talked. And he was a little too close for Hyukjae’s liking. Donghae was laughing.
Hyukjae had already hung up a few seconds ago, but Donghae turned his back to talk to the man.
