It's definitely a power move to write someone's full name 3 times in a tweet going off about things no one ever even implied without tagging them when you are mutual followers.
This isn't the 1st time she has done this, and it won't be the last.
It's really unfortunate.
I don't know if it's that they are pissed that someone else has talked to MPs on this issue, or that others have passionate opinions on this issue
Either way, no one should be acting this immature about *checks notes* someone giving info they've recieve from official sources.
Bottom line: if your an "activist" and yet attempt to slam other advocates for the same cause - you don't care about the cause as much as you care about the attention you got for getting the privilege to participate more than others.

Statistics Canada altering the national death stats by putting people who died from MAID's cause of death as the patient's disability/illness instead of as MAID scares me because it's an obvious way of hiding the fact that MAID has become a leading cause of death & is growing.
"What the government would not do is slow down a program that offers suicide-prevention services to most people but assisted suicide and euthanasia only to the disabled, terminally ill or not."
"after π¨π¦βs legalization, the number increased tenfold in 6 years β it will be impossible for any similar π¨π¦ watchdog to warn about π¨π¦. That is because no such watchdogs exist: Unlike in the Netherlands or Belgium, π¨π¦ has no mandated review process for potential stories of abuse"
Lametti's jarring notes on answering the *unasked* Q: "Does this Bill put the lives of persons with disabilities at risk as advocates claim?β
"The government would address βstigma and biasβ; it would bring about βa culture change to ensure that the important contributions β
"Intolerable suffering": Is it the disability itself, or the place the system forced them into because of their disability? Doesn't matter! All they have to be is disabled, and intolerably suffering because they have a disability.

"Treatment opinions that are available to them": there are no treatment options available to those in legislated poverty who can't afford it, or for those waiting indefinitely on waiting lists. No options are available for the most vulnerable right now; period.
People who are not both disabled and in legislated poverty currently need to listen instead of speaking over others on this topic. People really don't even know what is going on unless they are personally in this situation, as others simply don't care.
People speak on this who aren't in this category because:
1) internalized ableism for their own future ("I'd rather die than -")
2) their loved one used MAID without the coercion there. (E.g: they had the means to take care of themselves otherwise - so it was a true choice)
In both cases, the people speaking don't understand the current amendments, and the pressure they put on disabled people of a certain class currently.
Not in the future. Now.
This is of course about Canada's MAID after it was amended via Bill C7 in 2021.
The promise of the Federal #CanadianDisabilityBenefit has been around since the Throne Speech of 2020, and repeatedly promised since.
It's 2022 & absolutely no progress has been made. Even the studies Liberals budgeted for in 2021 (a method of delaying) are behind schedule.

Meanwhile,
#MAID's Bill C7 was rushed through in 2021 despite objection from the disabled community due it's coerciveness.
(It's coercive when paired with legislated poverty for disabled folks combined with unaffordable and inaccessible housing & care. Fix that, no coercion) 2/
It's scary to think in the past few years that π¨π¦ has repeatedly promised & delayed a benefit giving disabled folks a quality of life β
They've rushed to remove safeguards from #MAID; making sure every disabled person has the "choice" of death.
I've said this a thousand times but I need to state it again after #Budget2022 was officially revealed.
The lack of the #CanadianDisabilityBenefit being on the budget not only breaks promises (Liberals promised to make the CDB, NDP promised to lift disabled folks from poverty) β
It shows that the coercive amendments to MAID in which the Liberals led the rushing through of are meant to be there. It shows that the government is willfully offering disabled people only two choices: forced poverty, or death.
It shows π¨π¦ is attempting to thrive with eugenics.
