The @January6thCmte released a request for info regarding the attack on our Capitol. Many names appear in this request. Some we know, some not so much. The lesser known names, however need understanding too. Did they think they could just Walkaway? 🧵👇🏻

january6th.house.gov/sites/democrat…
I’ve said it before and it bears repeating. No matter how large you think this story is, double it. Now triple that. There are so many layers to Jan 6 and we need to understand them all. Let’s look at a group called the Walkaway campaign.
The Walkaway campaign is a group designed to offer democrats a reason to walk away from the Democratic Party. It was founded by a man named Brandon Straka. His name appears on the @January6thCmte request in the ‘Planning, Coordination and other Preparations for Rallies’ section. Image
The Walkaway campaign had a number of rallies in DC. Here is one called Rescue America. Straka’s in the hat w/mic. He is being guarded by a First Amendment Praetorian (📌1). That bearded guard in the foreground is #shadowflynn (Yoda) and is usually seen guarding Mike Flynn. Image
Guarding Michael Flynn so often you’re nicknamed #shadowflynn and guarding Straka? Straka must be an important figure. So important in fact, that on Jan 20, the day Joe Biden was sworn in, Straka was named by the DOJ in a criminal complaint. Here it is. justice.gov/opa/page/file/…
I apologize for not warning you to put on your gaslighting mask prior to reading that complaint which says Straka created Walkaway to ‘endorse walking away from the lies, false narratives, fake news, race-baiting, and violence of the Democratic Party’.

Cuz GOP is so honest?🤷🏼‍♂️
Straka also calls the group a ‘true grassroots movement’. This is not true either. Which is why I suspect the @January6thCmte is wanting to talk to these folks. I know I used a plural there. That’s because another name on their request for info list is Tracy Diaz.(📌2).
What is interesting about Straka and the complaint against the head of this grassroots movement is it was from January. It is now August and turning to September. Why has he not been indicted yet? Surely, @January6thCmte and DOJ will want to know who is watering the grass.
The Walkaway campaign went from city to city and tried to convince Black and other marginalized people that the Democratic Party is against them. They used the GOP talking point: ‘It was Lincoln, a Republican, who freed the slaves!’

So much for Walking away from race-baiting.
There is a 22 minute video on YouTube that shows testimonials of people who they convinced to walk away from the democrats. Their reasoning ranges from Socialism to Marxism. You know, the standard faire GOP propaganda that they can’t define with any consistency or confidence.
Walkaway produced videos and then held screenings for people they met on the street. Hey, do you want to come watch a movie for free? Here is some propaganda for you to sit through while we bring you in from out of the rain.

ajc.com/news/local/wal…
Ok class, what was the weird thing from that article? No, not that the above is corroborated, I mean specifically the part where Straka offers ‘there is no connection between Walkaway and Russia.’
Russia? Who said Russia?
Walkaway was founded in 2018. This is important because they were trying to get people to leave the Democratic Party, not to help trump get in, but to give him the House and Senate. A grassroots movement to Walkaway from ‘fake news’ 2 years *after* President LiesALot took office?
Ok, benefit of the doubt time. Let’s assume this is a grassroots movement and not some coordinated astroturfing. One may expect Straka or Diaz to appear on talk shows and at rallies every now and then. Like say, grassroots organizer Rep Cori Bush did in St. Louis. But instead…
Walkaway traveled with a stable of speakers. It was like a traveling right wing Woodstock. The same show put on in every city. Walkaway was less a grassroots movement and more like a carnival of cultural exchange (📌3). Speakers included such grassroots icons as Diamond & Silk.
There are other’s who were Walkaway speakers you may be familiar with but aren’t on the @January6thCmte request list. For instance, another (definitely not a) grassroots organizer, was Katie Hopkins. You’ll recall Hopkins as a far right supporter of Nigel Farage’s (📌4) Brexit.
Hopkins was permanently removed from Twitter for abuse and hateful conduct. She was also deported from Australia, appeared with Holocaust deniers, and spread hate against Muslims. But she did win the Campaign to Unify the Nation Trophy in Prague. 🤣
Other speakers in this traveling Cavalcade of UNdignified Treacherous Sycophants are Scott Pressler (the reason school board meetings are bat shit crazy now) and Rogan O’Handley (turning point USA) both of whom are also on the @January6thCmte request list.
Joe, who are these people, was there media coverage? The eagle eyed among you saw a mic flag earlier. They had their own media. Remember the trophy they gave Hopkins? Straka got an award too. ‘The American Patriot of the Year Award’.
From something called NTD News. Buckle up… Image
New Tang Dynasty news (NTD) was present at the screening of ‘Blacks Walkaway from Divisive Ideologies’ in Harlem. Here is a link to their reporting. Let me know if you get a Shen Yun or Epoch Times ad upon watching this, bcuz NTD is affiliated with China. ntd.com/walkaway-docum…
Wut? Let me explain 📌3 from above. I said Walkaway was like a cultural exchange tour. Shen Yun is exactly that. How very grassrootsy to be on a tour affiliated with the largest Chinese dance troupe and a Chinese news outlet. If you got the Epoch Times ad, that’s Falun Gong.
You don’t have to watch this video right now, but come back to it. It goes a lot deeper on that subject than this thread could hope to. And if you do watch, you will also hear about another name on the list of people the @January6thCmte wants info from: Steve Bannon.
The grass is getting pretty tall. At these heights, it is no surprise a guy who protected Mike Flynn is also protecting Walkaway. So let’s get back to 📌1. It was about the First Amendment Praetorian. 1AP is a group of former green berets & intel officials doing security.
But 1AP are way more than that. They curate a database of protestors. They use surveillance tactics and tools and then report what they see to their contacts still in law enforcement. They use this information against Antifascists; which makes them?? More on that here.👇🏻
Wait, Database? Surveillance tools? Sounds expensive. When the First Amendment Praetorian came on the scene to do their first security (read surveillance) gig, their leader asked for donations. Take a look at where the link goes…………yup, Walkaway. Image
Here is First Amendment Praetorian leader Robert Patrick Lewis as he is being interviewed on December 12th in DC. His name too appears on the @January6thCmte request for information. A sign they at least know what to investigate. Oh, and uh, peep the mic flag. Image
📌2 from above was Tracy Diaz. She is also known as Tracy Beanz and is not only the editor in chief of UnCoverDC, a GOP propaganda site, she’s a Q proponent like Mike Flynn, and according to Virginia Secy of State she was listed as Chair of the Walkaway foundation in 2019. Image
I did the redaction of addresses above. I’m here to provide some context and show you things to inspire your curiosity about what is happening, not show people’s personal information. On we go…
Beanz is currently a board member of Walkaway and the reason we now know Mike Flynn had his credit cards cut up by Chase because they feared a relationship with him would risk harm to their reputation.
📌4 was about Katie Hopkins also being a proponent of Brexit, Nigel Farage’s crusade to take the UK out of the European Union. It’s been a shambles. Weakening the EU? Who does that help?🤔 🇷🇺 DYK that Farage used Cambridge Analytica to help pass Brexit? theguardian.com/technology/201…
That’s the same Cambridge Analytica that Steve Bannon used to help putin trump in 2016, btw. You can read all about that here if you’d like. It’s about this time I am really wondering why Straka offered that Walkaway had no connection to Russia.
If you’re still here, thank you for reading this. We’re almost done (don’t forget to watch the videos, they’re important). I know these threads meander and there is a lot of stuff and it all seems terrible. But there is good news. There are a lot of dots, and…
It looks like the @January6thCmte is looking at exactly the right dots. This is only the request made to the National Archivist and the list has over 80 names. There will be more requests. Media outlets, Congressional members to subpoena.
I’ll say it again, no matter how big you think this is, double it. Now triple that. An attack on our nations Capitol in an attempt to overthrow the government of the United States requires an investigation and this one is huge.
To tell this story is going to require patience and a full effort of our best reporters. The MSM must begin to provide context to what is happening. They must focus, prepare and most importantly inform us.
END

PS if you want to know more about what Mike Flynn is up to check this 👇🏻 thread out and also follow @jimstewartson. If the First Amendment Paraetorians piqued your interest, follow @visionsurreal
And it wasn’t only Walkaway either. There was also this. I think of these endeavors as siblings.
Weird how the same names keep appearing, whether they be in @January6thCmte request letters or articles about right wing trolls.

We are in the Both Sides Era. For what seems the past decade, we have been subjected to both sides of the news, normalizing the weird, accepting the inappropriate, and moving on from the unforgivable.
Both sides are not the same.

A wee Sunday morning coffee🧵👇🏻
We have been so conditioned to Both Sides everything that we immediately fall into one side or the other. We are sorting ourselves based on memes and shallow thinking. Reporters complaining about hotel experiences due to the DNC running late, isn’t news. That’s a yelp review.
Have you noticed trump is on both sides of every issue? Probably not, because the “press hasn’t yet learned how to report on trump.” Why is covering trump any different from what they learned in journalism school?

Why not ask him about his incongruities? Or a follow up question?

Did you ever hear the phrase: “they have so much money they don’t know what to do with it.”? Not a problem, I’ve ever run into myself, but Project 2025 is just that. Billionaires want to be bankers. They want to sell off our governmental oversight to private companies they own.
Here is Project 2025. There isn’t one part of our lives this won’t touch. Think it doesn’t mean you? There is no provision to exclude from its effects those who vote for fascism so choose your candidate wisely.

Here is the part where they will abolish the federal reserve. It will be replaced by currency they can “create” and then lend out at their own interest rates. Image

“There is no place for political violence” has been a pretty common refrain throughout the weekend. It really got me thinking. ”Political violence” must be one of those “you know it when you see it” types of things.

Let’s see…
🧵👇🏻
Political violence strikes me as a visual medium but there are so many things that occur before we see the blood that I think might be political violence. Are we just numb to it? How do we define what is political violence and what is just violence? Why is it different?
Are Texas Gov Greg Abbott’s razor balls floating in the river, considered “political violence”? Kind of. I mean, the idea is people from south of the US shouldn’t be allowed to come here and take our jobs.
Political.

To deter from this, razor balls in the river.
Violence.

There’s been a lot said about Joe Biden since the debate. I, along with so many of you, watched it play out in real time as respected news transmitters read out ‘inside texts’ from knee jerk reactionaries.
After much thought, I won’t be voting for Joe Biden because he’s old.
🧵👇🏻
I’ll be voting for Joe Biden because he’s team democracy. I’m voting for ideas he represents. I’m voting for the team of people he can put together. I’m voting for my own interests and for your ability to vote for your own interests. I didn’t vote for him last time either, btw.
In 2020, I voted for a November 5th, 2024 election. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were the only options on the ballot that allowed this. I colored in Joe and Kamala’s bubble to keep the lights on long enough for us to have this election. Like many of you, I voted team democracy.

I am loathe to do predictions. However, there are some things you just can’t help but see coming. Project 2025 is a blinking red alarm and we all need to be aware of the stakes of this election. Please familiarize yourself with EO11246, be discriminating voters.

A wee thread🧵👇🏻
On September 24th, 1965 President Lyndon Johnson signed Executive Order 11246. EO11246 established Equal Opportunity Employment. It includes Non-Discrimination in Government. It includes Non-Discrimination Employment by Government Contractors and Subcontractors.
Focus on Non-Discrimination Employment by Government Contractors and Subcontractors. In Sub Part B under Contractor’s Agreements, contractors agree to not discriminate against employees based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Trust me…
🧵👇🏻
The above is the oath the President takes at 12 noon on January 20. Typically, it is administered by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court but there is no law that makes that a requirement. You could have your gran do it. So why is it *usually* the Chief Justice?
For this thread let’s assume the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is there as a symbol of the law. Chief Justice Roberts in a way represents the Judicial Branch of our government on the day it grants power to the person who will symbolize the Executive Branch.
