49.6M $ICP is staked in 8-year neurons right now. That's 10.5% of supply!
Those neurons ain't dissolving either... 97.8% of that 49.6M ICP is locked.

#8YearGang makes up 101.4M in NNS voting power, out of 304.5M total NNS voting power. That means 8-year neurons make up 1/3 of NNS governance right now!
#8YearGang is growing fast too. In the past 2 weeks almost 2M $ICP was added to 8-year neurons. Almost all of that came from topping up existing neurons (which I assume to be mostly governance reward generated). Only 60.4k $ICP came from newly created neurons
