@mlq3 Hi Manolo. Just to add to this, since this tweet went viral a couple of days ago I got a number of phone calls clarifying the matter. Thread follows:
@mlq3 1. It never was meant to be a pro / anti ivm post (because people have made up their minds at this point).
2. What I advocated is ... Don't self medicate! Especially if...
@mlq3 3. You're a senior with co morbidities. IVM is strong stuff. My dad's doctors said that because he had diabetes and other issues with his kidneys and liver, IVM had a hard time getting flushed out (if you're taking a lot of maintenance meds it can really mess stuff up)
@mlq3 4. He stopped when doctors told him to. He did not die from taking IVM, but he could have had a more comfortable sunset. (It was hell for him -- and me. He spent more hours in the hospital than at home in his last 4 months).
@mlq3 5. My dad was a smart guy and not anti vaxx. He got vaccinated around 1 month after his wheelchair confinement but was also scared of all of these variants. He was basically min maxing (in gaming terms).
@mlq3 But from the tweet, so many of his friends have told me that they have since admitted to taking it (unprescribed!). Which is why I said to do blood work to see if your body can handle it. Not all bodies are the same.
@mlq3 Stay safe everyone. My dad helped so many people during his lifetime. This is him working through me on overtime. ❤️ My tweet was not meant to divide. It came from a place of genuine love and concern.
