Got wind of this upcoming project, and I'm not going to label them anything rn. I'm just going to share my findings and you decide for yourself.

Ahh, the most important element. The gateway to the internet. Surely, of a huge project this scale, there has to be lots of planning before hand, and the website must be registered months ago right?

I only joined a few hours ago, and there was some serious dissent going on already.

Here are some messages that caught my attention.

I'm not sure why @thekevinmoses is mentioned here.. maybe he might wanna publicly clarify the serious allegations??

Again, I HATE the entire cancel culture toxic bullshit and I AM NOT ENCOURAGING THAT HERE.

Please do not send him hate messages and threats.

Let's approach this in a civilized manner.

After all, it's the 21st century. We're no apes.

To clarify, he MAY or MAY NOT be related to this project.. but enough people have linked his name here to multiple projects that have clearly rugged, so I think it's fair to give him some air-time to clarify his role in all of these.

After all, he has an NFT launchpad company to run, with real mouths to feed.

Except, if this entire company M.O. is simply to create NFTs, 'rug' and repeat the process... and let others do the same.

I don't think they will (and should be) in business.

The breadcrumbs are there, you follow it and draw your own conclusion.

My purpose is simple - to prevent any new NFTer from getting burnt and jaded in this space.

The reason I do this is because I f*kin love this space with a passion.

And to see anyone come in to pull this shit pisses me off.

I'll defend it with everything I got! And if I'm wrong, I'll do a public apology and personally mint this shit myself.

Get this out to AS MANY PEOPLE as possible while it's still not too late.

That is why I am such a big believer that founders, creators and influencer should self doxx.

For all I know, this could be a huge giant mis-understanding and I make a total fool of myself.

But I gotta voice out what I believe in, and right now, it sure is sketchy af.

@simpmermaids and @Immortalznft has no affiliation.

@thekevinmoses is the company and Tech Stack, and has no direct involvement with the founders team.

Again, I have nothing against anyone, any project or any company involved.

If this is really the story behind what is happening, then we really need to do more homework and ask tougher questions before we buy into each NFT launch.

So I spoke to @thekevinmoses to clarify his role in all this, and here's what we talked about (i had permission to post this):

@simpmermaids and @Immortalznft are NOT linked, different team.

I didn't ask about the other projects (as they are not part of this).

So now the real question you have to ask is, are you still going to mint?

Could this REALLY be a huge misunderstanding, and the founder of Immortalz just engaged the company (cryptogoonz.io) that was left high and dry by @simpmermaids founders?

It's possible.

I'll reserve my conclusion till post-mint, and if I'm wrong, I'll personally apologize to the founder as promised.

But we have to ask ourselves tougher questions, especially when it comes to new NFT projects.

We can't just blindly ape into every new thing.

Some questions to ask:

1. Who are the people behind the project?
2. If doxxed, what are their track record?
3. If anon, why are they anon?
4. Who are the other team members involved?
5. Any assurance of long-term commitment?
6. Any skin in the game?

If we learn to ask better questions and spend more time thinking rather than spending time minting, we may end up wiser and more profitable in the midst of this NFT bullrun.

And we can weed out bad eggs who wants to come in simply to 'rug' and give the industry a bad name.

Remember, there are always going to be GOOD PROJECTS around for a long time to come.

The next Facebook, Amazon, Uber of NFT has probably NOT even been created or conceptualized yet.
