All the experts have already buried the Texans. But they have added some quality front office people and coaches who know how to win in the NFL.

What is the most important single statistic in the NFL... Turnovers. And...

the Texans were dead last in turnover ratio last season. So how do you improve on that?

First you hire a DC like Lovie Smith, who's Chicago teams were always at the top of the league in takeaways. In fact, he led the league twice in the seven years he was there.

Next, you don't give the ball away. Obviously, I'd like to see Watson at QB but...

Tyrod Taylor is a capable player. He's 24-22 in the NFL as a starter. You know what? Taylor is damn good at keeping the ball... his TD/Int rations is 54/20!

In the last 10 yrs teams that have lost 3+ games below their win total (Houston) and then replaced their coach have gone 12-5 over their win total the following year.

I attribute that trend to the betting public over-reaction and the "new staff" effect.
