Ohio judge reverses a court order that would have forced a hospital to give a Covid patient ivermectin. Siding w/ the hospital, judge says the hospital bears no duty to honor an ivermectin prescription. Jeffrey Smith, who's vax hesitant, is on a ventilator ohiocapitaljournal.com/2021/09/06/jud…
“This Court is not determining if ivermectin will ever be effective and useful as a treatment for COVID-19,” Judge Michael Oster said. “However, based upon the evidence, it has not been shown to be effective at this juncture."
Oster continued: "The studies that tend to give support to ivermectin have had inconsistent results, limitations to the studies, were open label studies, were of low quality or low certainty..."
The pro-ivermectine studies, the judge wrote "included small sample sizes, various dosing regiments, or have been so riddled with issues that the study was withdrawn.”
The physician working w/ the patient's family is Dr. Fred Wagshul, a leading ivermectin proponent & founder of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance, a group that touts ivermectin as a wonder drug. He prescribed 30 mg daily without reviewing the patient's medical records
Dr. Wagshul, who is in private practice, calls himself a pulmonary critical care physician. However, Ohio media reports indicate that he is not board-certified.
