Taliban yesterday announced Mullah Hassan Akhund, NU sanctioned inidvidual, as the prime minister of their regime. The same Mullah Hassan Akhund who orderd the destruction of #BamyanBudha in 2001.

In addition to destroying Bamiyan Buddhas, Taliban regime's acting foreign minister, Wakil Ahmad Muttawakil, told the Guardian newspaper that they also destroyed 59 Buddha images in the national museum in Kabul on February 5 and 6 in 2001.
