THREAD:
Two weeks ago, I walked down from Signiture Apartments where we were staying in Jinja along Nalufenya Road to send some mobile money to someone.
Since I know myself very well, I don't have a mobile money number and sometimes I make sure I don't even have ATM card on me. Besides, business people don't always have money in cash.
Money is very hard to make, very hard to maintain, even harder is growing it. You must work and think hard while dealing with it.

Just like you ask yourself, how am I going to make money, also ask yourself how am I going to spend it. Make it part of your reasoning.
get so many financial requests daily and if I had a mobile money number, I would be in trouble. Not everyone who asks for money should be given money.

In 48 years of life on earth, I have encountered lots of things and learnt lots of things.
Each one is meant to reach one not necessarily everybody.

Recently I was in Nakiwogo landing site Entebbe with Justus Kojax Koojo buying roadside rolex next to a mobile money shop.
There was this one lady with a guy calling someone on phone next to us as we waited for our rolex. On phone she said, "I was arrested am now in Kigo prison and I need money urgently."
After she finished, she said, "Oyo mugaga"(He is rich) and the guy says, you would have asked for more and we go partying by the beach since its a weekend. I can write a whole book about similar stories.
Don't use emotions while dealing with money when people ask. Give it time, asses the situation, establish facts if possible. Emotions don't necessarily earn you money anyways.
Anyways, I ask Brian(Guy in the photo) if had float so I can send some money to someone. He said I work for a company, let me call them for float. He only had ushs 20k, I think.
I told him, I wanted to send 100k and I told him, i would leave the money with him and he could send it later. "Let me push them to send money now." he said
Guy goes on, Muuna( more like my friend in Lusoga), "I left the village to look for opportunities and the last thing I can do, is cheat anybody." I speak Lusoga, so it was great chatting with him.
I work for a company and they trust me with even 600k, generally saying, what about this 100k you are trying to send? TRUST IS EVERYTHING he adds.

I spent longer time discussing life and money with him, I shared a few life tips.
he kept looking at me, as if asking who the heaven are you? I forgot to tell him my name but it wasn't necessary.

Brian has his small business by Magwa Crescent along Nalufenya Road. If you are in Jinja, please go and support him by sending through him.
End of thread. Thank you for reading!

GENESIS OF UGANDA LODGES LTD (part 1)

Like everything in life, you don't need to know the end from the start because you will be learning so much along the way and that's why no one should lie to you about the so many secrets of doing business.
In 2001 April, I started up @SafarisUganda and the biggest motivation I had, I have already written/spoken about it many times before. Ofcourse I had acquired tourism basic skills and the rest I would learn on the job like in everything we do in life.
We spent 9 months in briefcase as a business and that means I had a bag that had our invoice book, receipts and sometimes would host my Nokia phone. I would issue an invoice and a receipt anytime business came by.

Good morning UOT,
Hope y'all are ready for another long thread.

Being a Friday, Let's talk about MARRIAGE.
Last month, I wrote a piece on FB about kylan our son and his travels from Nairobi by public means and how my wife wasn't rightly amused for like 3 days. For 3 days, no peace at home until guy arrived Home.
A guy on my wall made an interesting comment, he said "Even you who has married an American still faces the same problems like me who married from deep in Kabale?" I realised I needed to write something about marriage.

THREAD ALERT:

Today I was thinking about how Nyanza waterways (MV Natalie and sister boat) and Brovad sands( MV brovad) are changing face of lake Victoria.

This country has been blessed with very many water bodies and yes, no other country in Africa has as many rivers and... ImageImageImage
lakes like Uganda including source of the Nile and Lake Victoria( World largest troical lake)

I was telling a friend, it's only in a poor country where the rich live in Kololo and the average like me( even me bambi) by lakes like.
I told him from my traveling experience, lakes are gold mines for those who live next to them.

I read a report(i need to find that report and I think it was by world bank) stating that Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania miss earning close to $63bn annually from just being able to have
