This doesn't solve the whole problem with Apple's behavior () but wow it sure does chip away one of the most obviously absurd parts

I wonder if this will be allowed to stand or if the government will get bored and wander away like they did with Netscape/MS

This is a good point… even if Apple is banned from kicking people out of the app store for using external IAP, they CAN ban those apps for failure to include a 72x72 icon then wait 12 weeks to reply on the email explaining a 72x72 icon really was included
So again I guess it's gonna come down to whether the court is willing to enforce its own ruling
Okay this part sounds extremely bad and is a concretization of the idea that Apple has a permanent right to destroy the business of anyone who pushes back against Apple's awful treatment of developers
I have not read the decision
Epic seems to think they're coming back to the app store at some point

Just noticed that the section in which the judge notes that by stipulation Epic has formally agreed Apple is allowed to kick them off at any time for any reason is footnoted "666"

Okay so
Unity has this helpful set of "FileUtil" classes for working with files.
But...
They're in the "UnityEditor" assembly?
Does this mean these methods are only available in code that runs in the editor?!

So it turns out that if you're using Unity on Android, & you wish to access the contents of a unity Asset, literally the only way to do it is to make a WebRequest to a file: URL.
This is claimed by both the docs

This raises a question:
How do you get a list of your streaming assets, or a list of the contents of a streaming asset directory, on Android?
The answer is simple:
*You can't*.
*You literally can't do it*. There is no way.
You have to get an external zip file parser library! D:

Has anyone ever used Unity with Android?
I'm trying to figure out how you run a game on an Android device and get back Console messages while doing so.
If I do "Build and Run" and then in Console I try to change from "Editor" to AndroidPlayer(ADB...) it just... doesn't work, and if I manually run adb.exe I don't see the console messages I expect to see.
Do I have to make a Development Build? Do I need some kind of plugin to enable logcat? How does this work?

@AxiomVerge A blockchain is technically just a data structure. "Git" is a blockchain.

When used in this context (fintech), "blockchain" is usually used as a misnomer for append-only ledgers. The blockchain data structure is one type of append-only ledger.

Because at some point…
@AxiomVerge "blockchain" got some sort of reputation of being vaguely magical, people looking for investment funding find any excuse to add "blockchains". Not just ledger systems but potentially any distributed system, or even any kind of database, are at risk of being called blockchains.

Just took the TTC for about the third time in a year and had an awkward conversation on the TTC brought in by my extremely visible transgenderness for the first time in a year
He didn't ask me about Little Ceasar's pizza, but that isn't surprising because they don't have Little Ceasar's in Canada. They do have something called "Pizza Pizza" and it's about a hundred times worse. Seriously tastes like they're using ketchup for tomato sauce
Update: Okay so I guess they have little caesars in Canada

I got the #AxiomVerge2 trophy for beating the game with the minimum number of deaths, and as a result got the trophy for getting all the trophies. And I didn't even savescum!
Mind you, I was fully PREPARED to savescum, if I happened to die two hours in. But I didn't.

My speedrun PB currently stands at 1:13:42.
