From the Church of the East union Synod under Patriarch Eliya VII. The following is read from Mar Cyril Behnam Benni's compilation work 'The Tradition of the Syrian church of antioch Concerning the Primacy and Prerogatives of Peter and his Successors the Roman Pontiffs'.
The book was written by this Syriac Catholic Archbishop of Mosul to be presented at the First Vatican Council as a way to stop other syriac tradition churches from attempting to argue that their current positions regarding Rome were in line with their own historic tradition.
Cited as from 'Synodalia Chaldaeorum Romoe typis impressa (...) biblioth. Coll. Urb. de Propag., sub littera F. ii. 23.
"Orthodox men of letters know well that all the economy of the old is but a parable and pattern of the new law; for the idea and the mere figure is there,
whilst here is the reality and the perfection. all that is written in the Holy Scripture and the Prophets is fulfilled in Christ (...). Yes as now we are going to speak *of faith*, let us keep to it.
Faith indeed in the Old did shine in Abraham when, having believed in God, he
was quickened, and given as a father to the Gentiles. The same faith, however, was celebrated and brought to perfection in the New through Peter, who was laid down as a foundation-stone of the Church of God, so that no building, unless based upon it can ever be raised or brought
up to the coping, which is Christ. Whatever then is there said of Abraham is to be taken figuratively, partially, and only for the time being; while all that concerns Peter is to be considered spiritually, thoroughly, forever and ever.
(...) As in the Old law, Abraham was the father of fathers, so was Peter in the new. One single letter was added to Abram, the letter of faith (ha for haimonoutho) -
"Henceforth they name shall not be Abraham, bur Abraham, for I have made thee a father of many nations" - but
Peter's old man was stripped off completely, so that he was thoroughly renewed in Christ. "Thou art Simon Bar-Jona, and thou wilt be called Kipho, and on this rock I will build My Church." It was said to Abraham, "I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee"
(Gn. xii. 3). But to Peter it was declared:
"To thee I will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Lands of people, and realms of nations were promised
to Abraham; but the promise to Peter ranges over cities of souls, and rests upon heavenly thrones (...).
During the nature law, the family of Abraham was naturally propagated in the flesh from one to another, till it ended in the manifestation of the Incarnate God. But in the
Spiritual Law, Peter continues to live from Pope to Pope, till comes the second advent of the Son of Man, who is the Son of God. And those who were not naturally born from fathers descending from the seed of Abraham were debarred from the filiation of Abraham, and strangers to
the voice of the Prophet - "The Lord is our lot," (for such is the filiation of Abraham, and not that of the Gentiules without, seeing that the promises of God were made to him and all his seed for ever,) - in like manner those who are not spiritually generated by Peter's fathers
are equally, by each Pope for the time being, debarred from the filiation of Peter; so that they cannot by any means call God "our Father who art in heaven," as God allowed those who belonged to the family of Peter, not those who are strangers to his faith, to call Him thus.
And each one of who is not brought to be ruled under the crosier of such shepherds of Peter (the Roman Pontiffs), he does not belong to the flock of Christ. For to Peter, and to no one else, the Lord said, "Feed My lands, feed My sheep."

As an example: Christ is the Word incarnate, and the Law is the Word 'inlibrate', both are conceived by the Holy Spirit in a human author (prophets, Mary) undergoing a transient participation in the incarnation (the intellect and will are both divinised).
The unconverted are in comparison dead stones no matter how beautified, whitewashed tombs (Mt 23:27). But God's justification of the ungodly is his making of them from stones to living tablets with the law written on their hearts, after the pattern of Christ who descended the
mountain like Moses with himself being the law inscribed in flesh, rather than holding tablets. God's justification of the ungodly is the turning of stones into sons for Abraham:
Deuteronomy 27:8 - And you shall write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly.”

Thread on the typology of the life of St Joseph:
1. Betrothal of Joseph to Mary.
Gn 35:22-3, Mt 1:16 “Now the sons of Jacob were twelve. The sons of Leah: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun. The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.”
“And Jacob was called the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.”
Gen 1:26 “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Marriage is a remedy for weakness towards concupiscence. Remedies heal, they're not a way to live permanently in weakness. Perfection is still possible for the married - see Abraham, who had marital continence in act, but continence of celibacy in habit. aquinas.cc/la/en/~DePerfe…
"If anyone should object to us the example of Abraham and of other just men of old who were perfect without refraining from matrimony, we will answer them in the words of St. Augustine in the book de Bono coniugali:
the continence that is a virtue is that of the mind, not of the body. And virtue is sometimes revealed in deeds, and sometimes lies disguised as a habit. The patience of John who did not suffer martyrdom was equal in merit to that of Peter who was slain;

Wondering if any could help with a Latin question regarding GIRM #274 that my friend @carlschneed and I are having. Trying to get as many additional opinions as I can.
Here is the text we are concerned about:
In Missa tres genuflexiones fiunt a sacerdote celebrante, hoc est: post ostensionem hostiæ, post ostensionem calicis et ante Communionem. Peculiaritates in Missa concelebrata servandæ suis locis notantur (cf. nn. 210-251).
(the above is context)
Si vero tabernaculum cum SS.mo Sacramento sit in presbyterio, sacerdos, diaconus et alii ministri genuflectunt, cum ad altare perveniunt et ab eo recedunt, non autem durante ipsa Missæ celebratione.

Preparatory document:
14. The Pastors, established by God as “authentic guardians, interpreters and witnesses of the faith of the whole Church,” should not be afraid to listen to the Flock entrusted to them.
The consultation of the People of God does not imply the assumption within the Church of the dynamics of democracy based on the principle of majority, because there is, at the basis of participation in every synodal process, a shared passion for the
common mission of evangelization and not the representation of conflicting interests. In other words, this is an ecclesial process that can only take place “at the heart of a hierarchically structured community.” It is in the fruitful bond between the sensus fidei

Magisterial infallibility isn't an ontological power intrinsic to someone who has it. It's a matter of predestination. Unlike scripture, the infallibility of the magisterium is extrinsic, i.e. it is the object of a perfect prophecy by Christ, a revelation of God's destiny for it.
When we talk about ecclesial infallibility, or the infallibility of the Roman Church, or the infallibility of the Pope-and-Bishops, we're talking about the specific and general guidances of the Holy Spirit as part of God's unfolding His providence through governance in time.
This entails that we have full assurance that the Church wont define error, that She wont consistently teach error- not because of a power she has and some confidence we ought to have in her because of that power, but because of the revelation of God's hidden will regarding her.
