1/ Thread about how what happened in Charlottesville was probably not an intentional attack. I know this was common knowledge on rw twitter a while ago but the Charlottesville civil trial is happening soon so thought I would remind everyone. This is not meant to glorify JAF. 
2/ To set the scene, Fields was forced to turn left onto a one way road, that is blocked by two cars. He backs up before eventually driving forward into the crowd killing Heather Heyer. Many people dubbed this a terrorist attack, but there are many facts the put that in doubt.
3/ First of all he wasn't going very fast. According to Wikipedia, "The speed was estimated between 23–28 miles per hour" If he was planning to kill people, he would probably be going faster than a speed at which someone who was struck was likely to survive.
4/ Also, he simply went forward into the crowd and backed up rather than driving on to the sidewalk, aiming for individuals, or going in for a second hit instead of backing up.
5/ In addition, he braked right before hitting the crowd, definitely contrary to wanting to intentionally kill people!
6/ Compare this speed and aim to the Nice truck attack where he was driving fast, and swerving to hit people: reuters.com/article/us-eur…
7/Fields demeanor after the incident was not consistent with a terrorist attack, repeatedly apologizing:

14/ Other than memes, there was no manifesto, suicide note or direct plan for what happened here. There was also evidence he had planned events after the rally.
