This big guy is Hunter he has been at MAS for approximately 50 days. The shelter is at capacity and we could use some help with getting Hunter out of MAS.
Below is a bio that was written by our wonderful volunteers.
A46853294,
MESQUITE AS TEXAS
Please email rescues@cityofmesquite.com if you can help!
You may remember this handsome boy, Hunter. He arrived initially at the Mesquite Shelter as a stray on 3/7. He was adopted on 4/23 and returned on 6/1. Owner did not fill out a surrender form and the details of the
reason for surrender are sketchy. Notation on the database indicates that he tried to bite someone. Since no circumstances are known about this attempted bite, it is hard to make any judgment call. Hunter weighs 58 pounds and is about 2 years old and is neutered. He has all
shots and is ready to walk out the front door. Hunter walks ok on a leash. He will jump on you in his excitement and could use some training to correct that. He is high energy and quite active. He is a friendly fellow. Hunter would seem best suited because of his energy
level to be adopted by a person or family who is active and would give him plenty of exercise, play time, socialization and of course a home inside with his people.
🌊 Torchy (aka Moses) came to the shelter on 8/11 as an owner surrender. They brought him to the shelter as a euth request. 😞 Torchy is heartworm negative and a healthy guy!!! He feels terrified and is acting defensive. He coming around with treats, though his
progress is slow. We don’t know what kind of life Torchy had to be abandoned to die by his “people,” though it likely hasn’t been kind. Torchy feels unsure of who he can trust and we understand that. Torchy needs a safe place to decompress so we can get to know him better. Dogs
🆘 Korben I𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹e He is on the list for 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟵/𝟭𝟱 and needs a rescue hold by 𝟭𝗣𝗠, or he will be euthanized at 𝟮𝗣𝗠.Please contact the page ASAP if you can foster!
🏷RESCUE ONLY!🎩 Korben and his gal pal Leeloo, A1782228, are two friendly pups that were involved in a Bite case. They have been at BARC since 9/6 and are both on the list for Wednesday 9/15.🥺Unfortunately, their owner let them roam loose and one of them bit a person
exiting a bus. The person is not sure which dog committed the crime, so both were in quarantine. We don’t have any notes, but as you can see in the video above⬆️, Korben is sweet but a little timid. This handsome pup needs a kind foster that can help him build his confidence
