That is NOT false & misleading. Bhakta Namadeva was indeed a devotee of Vitthala. Nobody denies it. STOP putting words in my mouth. But yes, it is indeed true that Namadeva used "Allah" in his Abhangas as one of the names of Hari. Only an ignoramus will deny this!

Here, Namadeva uses "Karim", "Rahim" & "Allah" to describe Vishnu.

Anybody with a basic reading of Namadeva's Abhangas know this. Ignorance is one thing. Accusing others on your ignorance is malice @SanskarBarot

1) Bhakta Namadeva DID NOT worship Allah of Islam. As narrated in one of the Abhangas, when he was asked to convert to Islam, he refused and was tortured.

2) He was a Vaishnava and used "Allah" just as another name of Vishnu

Here are the facts:

The above verse of Adigranth also occurs in Namdev Abhanga of Varakari literature in Marathi with just a a slight variation of words.

@SanskarBarot In Guru Granth Sahib, the verse is ਮੈ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ( मै अंधुले). In Marathi Abhanga, the verse is मन माझें आंधळें.

It is a big misconception that Adi Granth/Guru Granth Sahib is written in Punjabi.

Take this very verse. Here, the Namdev Bani of Guru Granth Sahib uses Marathi आंधळा

Sant Namdev DID write in Hindi. Namdev's Hindi compositions can be found outside Adigranth. They are found even in Varkari literature of Maharashtra.

Lohia manuscript of Pandharpur (Maharashtra) contains Namdev's songs both in Hindi and Marathi!

This is from a Varakari Maharastrian manuscript. Varkaris are followers of Sant Namdev and they preserved his poems

Yesterday, some people were passing expert comments that Sant Namdev's verses in Guru Granth Sahib were modified & forged by Sikhs and/or Namdev's North Indian devotees.

If they were really modified , how are they still identical to his verses in the Maharashtrian collection?

Sant Namdev was not the only Varkari saint to use Allah.

Even Sant Tukaram used "Allah" in his Abhangs.

Tukaram sang:

"अल्लाह देवे अल्लाह दिलावे।
अल्लाह दाता अल्लाह खिलावे।"

This song is very popular today among Maharashtrian devotees. Listen in

Tukaram's "अल्लाह देवे अल्लाह दिलावे " verse is the Abhanga number 444 of Tukaram Abhanga collection.

This verse is from Tukaram's Abhanga manuscript that has been preserved by his traditional Varkari followers of his sampradaya

I could go on & on. But my point is simple.

Varkari saints like Namdev & Tukaram used "Allah" in their poems. This is undeniable.

But that does not in anyway lessen their great contribution to the rejuvenation of Hindu society. They played a major role in national awakening

That Namdev & Tukaram interiorized the word "Allah" does not make them less Hindu.
