/ So, as some of you have noticed, I've dived headfirst into the wild and wonderful world of NFT's the last month. In that time, I stumbled upon #RarePepes, and I've been obsessed ever since. There is so much history and culture and art wrapped up...
/ ... in these creations. One of the coolest things about it though has been meeting and interacting with all the OG members of the community. Free cards, funny banter, and a willingness to help newbies like myself understand the technology are all hallmarks of the group.
/ One of the biggest standouts is the OG whale known only as BuddhaAF. Buddha has one of the top pepe collections in the world, and he wants nothing more than to share everything RarePepe with everyone. So, when I...
/ ...messaged him on Telegram wanting to buy the below card, TempuraPepe (isn't it great!?), and that I didn't have much XCP (a currency used by many Pepe fans), he said to send what I had and he'd hook me up.
/ Five minutes after sending my money to an internet stranger with no promise of anything in return, he sent me that TempuraPepe card... and he also sent me this.... for those who don't know, this is a classic rare pepe from series 2 with an issuance of 100 cards total.
/ They sell for about $15,000 USD. I'm still stunned as I write this. All I can say is thank you Buddha, and thank you to the RarePepe community. If you've been curious about rare pepe's it's not too late to jump in.
/ Come join the Telegram group and meet the OG's, or join the Discord and interact with the artists who created the pieces. There's a huge and fascinating world out there outside of just OpenSea and other big marketplaces.
