So, GOP legislature in Ohio wants to get rid of all vaccine mandates. I knew this was going to happen.

If you are in Ohio, please call your Ohio state house representative.

I can't find my old tweet about it, but I predicted it.

This is a war on public health.

This is happening in Alberta, but if we haven’t learned this lesion yet: if I happens in one place, it can happen anywhere.

As I read that 1 in 500 Americans have died of COVID19 so far, I decided to cheer myself up by reading a quasi-historical account about everyday life during the time of the Black Death, which killed 30-50% of the population.
Amazing how people knew it was coming. Travelers and gossip brought news of it to even small villages. People had a hard time believing that it would actually be as bad as it was. Image
There is still debate on whether the Black Death was actually caused by the plague bacterium Yersinia pestis or instead one of the epidemic hemorrhagic viruses like Ebola. There are some pretty good arguments for Ebola here.

And this guy is an antisemite as well. I attract the right enemies.
Yikes. I can’t even begin to tell you how dangerous these people are.

My mother grew up in Nazi Germany, and this is not ok.

We are destroying our health care and educational systems at the same time to mollify people who believe in the Rapture.

A substantial share of Evangelicals have declared war in vaccines, public health, and science

What does @POTUS need to do to get COVID under control? It's basic:
➡️Launch comprehensive educational campaign so people can understand what an airborne virus is and how they can protect themselves
➡️DPA to provide N95/equivalent elastomeric masks to ALL Americans including kids
➡️Withhold federal educational funds from all states that do not mandate masks and vaccination of all eligible staff and students
➡️Withold Medicare funds from healthcare entities that do not mandate vaccination AND require health care workers to use N95 masks at all times
➡️DPA to provide all Americans to access to cheap at-home COVID screening tests
➡️Provide science-based national guidelines for school ventilation, air filtration, and student spacing
➡️Provide critically needed support to hospitals and schools - ask them what they need
