My Trading Journey
1)Two years ago I was selling cars and making good money, but was desperately wanting a change in life. I worked 12hr shifts 6 days a week. I always wanted to invest/day trade, but felt I wasnt “qualified” enough. As most other’s began, I downloaded Robinhood.

2)I began taking trades off of Reddit and discords at the time, always buying alerts and losing off of them. This was for about 6 months and I didn’t think I would ever be profitable, nor did I understand the basic technicals of trading; Charts, Mental Strength, and Risk/Reward.

3) I began studying the basics and multiple strategies. Fascinated and confused by all of the information out there, I grasped the only strategies and knowledge I could wrap my head around. Naked charts, Pivot points, VWAP, and volume. I studied these endlessly.

4) I pounded out as many charts as I could each night as recommended by my great friend @RHODESA_ This is what started all of the annotated charts and later down the road my confidence and success while trading. Charting is a major aspect of trading, but not the holy grail.

5) I was then able to spot formations and trade the potential reactions. Although not proficiently, I saw progress. Charting was and is still my method of journaling.

6) Next, I didn’t know why or what most tickers were that had momentum. I began making sector WL to keep up with sector strength and trends. I also would keep track of what tickers had continuation after the initial run. Ticker personality and recognition are important.

7) I still was not profitable, breakeven at best so my risk was becoming better. Quitting was no longer an option.I had all my technical analysis and sector recognition down for the most part, so what was the problem? My emotions.

8) Undoubtedly my weakest link. Anger, fear, greed, and anxiety inhibited me from building confidence and achieving my goals. I had no emotional control while trading. This was my next feat. Training my mind.

9) Countless hours of psychological videos, charts, journals and books later; I felt a difference. I’d no longer take trades dictated by fear. I would simply assess the chart, evaluate my risk to reward based on potential entry and execute my now planned trade with peace of mind

10) Trading is truly a dance between your understanding of technicals, emotional dominance, and building trust/confidence in yourself. All odds stacked against me and I came out on top. So I don’t believe in self doubters or complainers. It’s all possible.

11) I write this after celebrating over a year's worth of consistent profitability. I wanted to quit and almost did countless times. Imagine if I let the weaker part of my mind win. My goals, effort, and ambitions would have been all for nothing simply due to fear.

12)This is by far one of the most difficult, but rewarding crafts to master. I still chart every night. I still have doubts and fluctuations of confidence, but I know this is what I am happy doing in life and will never give it up. Keep pushing, I believe in you.
