While part of a team in Rwanda with Ericsson and working on smart cities, @edgarkasenene realized that 4G had started to grow and the value of data had started to drop because it was more available.

Consumption of data has also gone up and people have started looking for cheaper internet options.

@edgarkasenene volunteered for a role called Internet of Things(IOT)and went on an executive programme, getting obsessed with changing the way of work from the old to the new.
@edgarkasenene was going through soul searching and the Executive course on a global perspective enabled him find his personal purpose journey.
He was at the peak of his frustration and that course triggered those reflections and that journey.

6 months later, the coach challenged them to write a letter to a child, a lover about the legacy that they wd love to leave.
It was the 1st time @edgarkasenene didn't write something about his role in the Co. The letter started to create the view of what he really wanted to do.
@edgarkasenene says you cannot change a business without the people in it growing.

He identified the space of business models and the created value.

@edgarkasenene states that anytime a service becomes ubiquitous, the value starts to drop.

A factor @edgarkasenene considered as he reflected was the demographics. 75% of the population is under 25. If you're in business today, your customer is digital because digital has become a way of life.

When businesses have clarity of purpose, it makes them open to a diverse view on who their customer is, on how to solve different problems. They move away from the WHAT and focus on the WHY!

Attention span is a measure of value. What percentage of the customer's attention do you have?
Being digital is about understanding the customer behaviour, being simple, and learning everyday. You must be agile!

Transformation is about Tech, business models and people.

@edgarkasenene believes business models are changing in such a way that value precedes pay eg. many companies will offer a free trial so that potential customers can establish the value.

He points out FaceBook that gave value for a while before starting to charge.

1. In the long run, value will speak
2. Start small, learn and then scale slowly. Scale is now driven by value.
3. When you do something that people love, they will drive your scale.

U will only be able to solve for people if you are humble.
To a mid level proffessional, @edgarkasenene says:
1. You have to spend alot more time on self discovery
2. Think about the things that you are passionate about.

U can use moments that excite you, people U admire, things that you do and fill you with life etc.
