Since Independence , every government has remained in power at the pleasure of the voter.

Every government lived in fear that a dissatisfied voter would remove it from power.

All that has changed with the coming to power of Modi.

Ever since 2014 , voters have been getting dissatisfied with the Union government led by Modi , on various counts.

Whether it is the increase in unemployment , the decline of the economy , the increase in poverty , the decrease in social harmony , the increase in fuel prices and their effect on food prices , there is very little that Modi has done to enthuse the average voter.

But look at how the dissatisfied voter now thinks.

He thinks there is no alternative to Modi , or even if there is , all the available alternatives are worse !

How has Modi achieved this magic in 5 years , which no other political party could achieve in decades ?

Effectively what Modi has managed to do is convince the average voter that he is helpless !

Isn't this what true leadership is ?

Convince everyone that they are helpless and only you can do for them what they cannot do for themselves , and you have the perfect leader.

Of course , whether the leadership is for the good or bad , time will tell.

If a country is ruined beyond repair , as many civilizations over the years have been , then the leadership was disastrous.

If Modi's tenure becomes a springboard for India to reach new heights, then his leadership will be remembered forever.

But from a country where the poorest of the poor believed that their vote counted, we've now become 1 where the most dissatisfied voter believes he's powerless.
