An image of a man getting his shirt pulled by a border patrol agent is nothing compared to the many, many photos & videos that have been released over the past few months of children and babies abandoned in the desert, drugged, & smuggled across the border. These don’t go viral.
Why? Because then we’d have to talk about the lax policies that cause the prevalence of these kinds of situations. The media & the WH do not care about these children - hundreds of them trafficked, raped & kidnapped.
And what really gets me is the Christians who always, ALWAYS fall for this stuff. A photo or headline goes viral, and they post about how terrible it is without even waiting to see if there’s more to the story or asking themselves why they haven’t posted about the issue til now.
They haven’t spoken about the gut wrenching atrocities happening at the border because of this admin’s negligence. They left off at “kids in cages” and picked right back up at “whipping migrants” without a thought to what’s actually happening & who’s really suffering.
Woe to us, a horrifyingly gullible and undiscerning people, who mask our ignorance with shallow empathy.
