Current thoughts with regards to my FPL team, I will cover:

Not the best week as I had a 33k drop this week, overall a decent start to the season

GW 5 Fixtures (% of winning):
 
MUN - 70%
LIV - 66%

Upcoming fixture ease
 
▪️CHELSEA
 
The most impressive team in the league - 12 goals scored, only 1 conceded and yet to lose a game. They have an excellent run of fixtures from GW7, managers will need to plan to get 3 of their players in.

▪️WOLVES
 
They haven’t had the best start to the season so far, however it is hard to ignore their favourable run of fixtures from now until December. Even so, I am limiting ownership of players from this team until they begin to show some form.

▪️ARSENAL
 
They have won the last 2 games and are starting to climb the league. They have some bargain players within the team which could act as enablers for the more premium attacking players!

▪️LEEDS
 
Leeds have been winless for 5 games now. Despite this, I still think their attack is worth investing in - the likes of Raphinha, Bamford, Harrision and possibly even Dan James are worth looking into.

Players to target
 
▪️DEFENDERS
 
Alonso (5.8) [CHE]:
- Excellent fixtures
- Started all league games
- Plays for the joint best defence in the league!
- 9 shots, 6 inside the box, inc. 1 big chance
- Most points accumulated from a def this season
- More goals and assists to come

Cancelo (6.0 [MCY]:
- Played every second in the league so far
- Plays for the joint best defence in the league
- Can play left or right back
- 4 straight clean sheets including an attacking return
- 9 shots including 2 in the box and 1 big chance
- 10% owned

▪️MIDFIELDERS
 
Sarr (6.1) [WAT]:
- Next 2 fixtures are strong
- Watfords key player
- 13 shots, 11 inside the box with 4 big chances
- Highest expected goals for a midfielder under 10m

Trincao (5.9) [WOL]:
- Excellent run of fixtures ahead
- Has been unlucky with returns
- 12 shots, 8 inside the box with 2 big chances
- Actual points (12) significantly less than xPoints (25.4)

▪️ATTACKERS
 
Bamford (LEE) [8.0]:
- An excellent run of games
- Leeds main source of goals
- Key to the way Leeds play!
- 2nd most shots inside the box and 2 big chances

▪️Captaincy Options

- 4 goals and 4 assists
- 39 points from 4 (2nd), playing 1 less than most other players
 
vs Leeds (a) - playing against the team with the 3rd worst defence in the league

3️⃣ Ronaldo (12.6) [MUN]:
- Odds to score 61%
- 13 shots, inc. 12 in the box
- 2 games, 3 goals
- stats over the last 2 games are better than any other attacker in the league (within same period)
 
vs AST (h) - Villa haven’t won away this season & have conceded 6 goals in 2 games

Preview of my Team
 
After a mediocre GW last week its easy to want to change things around, however my current thoughts are to stick to my plan and roll the transfer. This may change later in the week and if it does, I will share this ahead of the deadline…

…I am currently torn between Mo Salah and Ronaldo for my captain. I am leaning towards Salah though as he is fully rested, playing against a promoted team, in great form and his stats are insane.
