Quick plug: @FPL_Sonaldo and I will likely be having the legendary #45 HoF @FPL_Salah on "The Enablers Show" on Twitter Space this weekend. Follow us for updates on the timing.
In this thread, I look at the short term replacement options over the next 2 GWs before moving to Salah - featuring Maddison, Bruno, Trossard & Moura.
Appreciate it if you could RT.
This thread comes in 2 parts, so bear with me.
Happy reading 👇
FPL darling Son Heung-min (£10.7) was taken off at the 79th minute during Spurs' defeat against Chelsea on January 5th and following scans on the next day he is now set to be out for the rest of the month.
He will thus likely miss the crucial DGW22 and GW23, which is a huge blow for FPL managers who had him as a placeholder for Salah, who will also be back for GW24 (the AFCON final will be held on 6 February).
GW 8 - WC 🧵
In this thread, I cover:
📌Brief Gw 1-7 Retrospective
📌Teams to Target & their best assets
📌Goalkeepers
📌Enablers
📌Son
📌Antonio
📌TAA
📌Captaincy Metrix
As always, RTs are greatly appreciated.
📌Retrospective
First things first, a quick look back at how teams performed compared to their FFS FDR at the start of the season.
🔺The big boys show exactly why they are the big boys. CHE, MCI & LIV show they don't care about the ticker.
🔺BRE impress us by defying the ticker
🔻LEI posting weird underlying stats, even tho they overperformed their xG by 1.7 (4th highest overperformance)
🔻WAT, BUR & NEW show us why we are targeting them for goals and perhaps why Mr. Dilly Ding Dilly Dong was hired at WAT.
Position
🔶MG played the majority of last season as a RW, scoring 7 goals from inside the box.
🔶This season he played ST as a false 9 GW 1 & 3 and played out wide GW 2,4 & 5.
Him moving to ST explains his improved underlying stats GW 1-3.
First off, Fixtures (GW1-7)
Bruno: LEE(H) SOU(A) WOL(A) NEW(H) WHU(A) AVL(H) EVE(H)
Salah NOR(A) BUR(H) CHE(H) LEE(A) CRY(H) BRE(A) MCI(H)
Salah has 2 difficult fixtures in Chelsea and Man City. Bruno has none. #FPL
Underlining Statistics.
I did not this it was this clear who will come out on top:
Other remarks:
- Liverpool lost Wijnaldum V/S United reinforced with Sancho who comes in with a bag of assists.
- Jota is quite a selfish player compared to Bobby [4-2-3-1]/ Wij [4-4-2]
- No Robbo no party?
- LFC's ageing squad will make it more difficult to play high press?
