Overview of @WithoutTheRope weekly AMA in the $STRONG Telegram ⬇️⬇️⬇️
$STRONG Q: i would like to know if we will need nft to create new nodes in the future or only for boosting rewards and early access?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope You will need NFT’s for early access to new protocols
$STRONG Q: why doesn’t strong just create nodes on their own. Why do you need the community if our 10 strong isn’t going into creating the infrastructure? Can you help clarify the pro and con to having community owned nodes while you still own the infrastructure of the node?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Creating nodes is non-trivial. We had a BYON (bring your own node) program early on. Very few people could get nodes running.
$STRONG Q: In a recent AMA with Presearch, the up and coming decentralized search engine, the host of the AMA mentioned Strongblock as a possible solution to facilitate their search engine traffic as they continue to grow and the CEO acknowledged. @colinpape $PRE
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope No communication with Presearch yet. Don’t have a contact there. $PRE - @colinpape please meet David
$STRONG Q: People call STRONG as Ponzi scam. How can i prove them wrong
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Social Security and Medicare are ponzi schemes.
$STRONG Q: I noticed you guys are now following $AVAX. Any reason for that?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We like Avalanche. They are doing great work.
$STRONG Q: Nerve tweeted out that they have made a cross chain bridge to BSC and HECO for STRONG, and it looks like the StrongBlock team liked the tweet.

Does this confirm that we will be able to make nodes on chains other than ETH to reduce fees?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope A cross-chain bridge does not solve creating nodes and claiming on Ethereum 1.0. It’s much more complicated than that. We like that they made a bridge, but it doesn’t solve gas problems within the protocol.
$STRONG Q: Hi David what developments are you most excited about short and mid term for Strong ?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope New protocols and validator pools are pretty exciting stuff.
$STRONG Q: when are the tokens are going to be unlocked. I know you said in 2022 but I forgot which date.
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Team/Shareholder tokens? They were locked for 1 year until July 1, 2021. They are slowly being unlocked quarterly over the next two years. No team or shareholders receive the tokens; instead, (1/2)
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope they are sold through a market maker to have zero impact on price. So, no dumping is even possible. (2/2)
$STRONG Q: Any updates on making the website run smoother? I have the full 200 nodes, and the website can take minutes to respond to a single click.
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We’re going to limit nodes to 100 or less per wallet. 200 is a stretch. It won’t affect you, but there will also be a node migration option to let you balance your nodes across multiple wallets. (Node Migration Soon!!!!!!)
$STRONG Q: Any news you can share regarding protocols that are upcoming?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We’re in final talks with two of the many protocols on our list. Hoping to announce one very soon.
$STRONG Q: When node migration becomes a thing can we also sell our nodes in the future if we want?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Selling is separate, but node migration is key to that process.
$STRONG Q: Will there be a time where you can buy fractional nodes with less than 10 strong and have the rewards scale accordingly vs real nodes?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We’re still pondering that. It’s a possibility. There may instead be opportunities to take rewards and move them to other pools.
$STRONG Q: Any thoughts or comments regarding the SECs position on Crypto? Do you think heavy regulation for StrongBlock node holders based in the US will create barriers for entry?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope They have mentioned the need for a framework. Looking forward to actually seeing it.
$STRONG Q: Why did you remove the team on ur website, its very important for new investors who seek legitimacy
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We will likely be adding team back in. But we are NOT an ICO or a startup. We’ve been around in the industry for a while. Seriously, you can’t go and look us up on LinkedIn?
$STRONG Q: are there any plans to bring byon back and is there a timeline for when we can expect node migration?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We are already testing node migration. It will be for individual nodes. There will not be a “migrate all”; that’s the part that didn’t every work properly. Individually, it’s working great.
$STRONG Q: in same context, why not StrongBlock get some free node and validator grants from dash, Eth2, solana and others.. and then fractional ownership to strong node owners?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Hmm. That’s what I was talking about with pools. The grants will be used for rewards in validator pools.
$STRONG Q: do you know when a reducing on the rewards is coming or you guys still calculating on it
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Working on other initiatives to lessen the probability.
$STRONG Q: Has the team considered running nodes that already pay rewards? Is there a future where I could provide the requisite capital for a $GALA node, or $SRX, or $DAG, and have the Strong protocol run/maintain that node?
$STRONG A:@WithoutTheRope Our research & done a lot of research on this is that most nodes that pay rewards have high barriers to entry. The way around that is to create them and put them in a pool for the community. Same for validators. That provides access and lowers entry cost
$STRONG Q: will it be possible to buy the nodes that were turned off due to non payment? maybe at a discount?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Not at this time. Surprisingly, there are less than 200 of them, out of 96k+.
$STRONG Q: Think this would be huge (pools for validator & high cost nodes). Brief rundown is $DAG will be providing end to end Blockchain Security for DoD Big Data Sharing w/ Commercial Partners. Seems like a massive integration play but they will need nodes.
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Ah, yes, I have heard about it. We’ll look into it. So many great Business Development opportunities for nodes - software and hardware based. We’re just getting started.
$STRONG Q: Different question, but was wondering if you ever reflect on the number of lives you've changed through creation of this protocol? There's so many people in their 30s retiring and now having more time to spend with loved ones, travel the world, learn a new language etc
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Our goal was to provide access for non-technical people wanting to support blockchains, and reward them for doing so. The long term goal is providing access to UBI/NUBI for more and more people.
$STRONG Q: If there came a day that we could sell our nodes, will that also be the day that strong node creations are turned off? I can’t see why people would buy our nodes unless we sell our nodes at a discount.
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope It will depend on the protocol. Ethereum 1.0 nodes may likely morph into Ethereum 2.0 RPC endpoints.
$STRONG Q: Is node migration even that important to satisfy the oldies here when you are faced with a mountain of tasks for building the next blockchain node structure and economy. Im afraid that there not creep in some minor interface or migration issues and eat up your time
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope It’s already been built and is in testing. Migration one node at a time.
$STRONG Q: When new protocols use our nodes in the future, will their rewards provided equal to the same value as the rewards received in STRONG?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Yes, that’s the goal.
$STRONG Q: Hi David, complete node noob here. But I wanted to ask, what's the long-term plan for Strongblock in the next year or 2?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope More protocols, more pools, more ways to participate when claiming, more people getting NUBI.
$STRONG Q: If anything is to be given away in a lottery for nodes I would love to see them go to people in need.
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope One of our team members has proposed a charitable approach. It’s very well thought out. That will be integrated into claiming. Other ways to contribute will include purchasing milestone NFT’s, and (1/2)
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope purchasing merchandise, with all profits going to charity. We’ll be asking about what you’d like to see in the merch store soon. We already have some items in process. (2/2)
$STRONG Q: a suggestion is that when we click on go to wallet for strong reward cash out please add a button to mention how many STRONG instead of claiming all STRONG
This small thing would be helpful
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Yes, that will be a universal claim function: the ability to direct some or all of your claim to different pools, protocols, charity, etc.
$STRONG Q: I’m asking for a rough estimate on how long until $matic / $ftm nodes are buildable. Are we days, weeks or possibly months out from being ready to build them.
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Early Q4. In development now. Testing to start soon.
$STRONG Q: any update to earning your way to NFTs?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Announcement in the next two weeks.
$STRONG Q: A first 100k strong nodes NFT ownership would be cool
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We’re working on making all of the Milestone announcements that we did in-house (not sure about memes) available as one-of-one NFT’s, with all profits (OpenSea takes a commission) going to charity.
$STRONG Q: Hi David, excited to see that Polygon is expected to roll out soon! Can you give us any clues on the rewards structure for future Polygon node holders? Will they pay roughly $40/day in $Matic or do you expect significant top up with $Strong?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope It will be a combination of STRONG and $MATIC. Several factors still in play regarding the mix.
$STRONG Q: I’m just going to ask, previously you seemed a little disbelieving about QNT. Last week when we ask you again, you said you would look into it. I’m just wondering if by any chance you have done so yet. It does seem like it could be something that would solve gas
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We looked into it. It doesn’t solve our gas problems, since it doesn’t move node creation and claim transactions off of Ethereum 1.0. There are complex ways to do this, including forklifting to an EVM-compatible chain, (1/2)
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope or even creating our own chain with decentralized validator pools (so everyone can participate, not just big holders). (2/2)
$STRONG Q: how long could the company survive with 0 income?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Quite a while. Years. We are VERY frugal, learned from our early days and multiple pivots - and from working at lots of startups.
$STRONG Q: So is there anything keeping a billionaire from just buying up thousands of nodes and taking the whole thing over?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope There are only 92 wallets with over 100 nodes. Large holders are in every thriving protocol.
$STRONG Q: Thanks, how about migration of existing nodes to new protocols that are paying for node services?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Not sure about that. Migration of nodes is migration of the same node type. That’s what’s being tested. Given that there are only two types, with a number on deck, it’s a lower priority.
$STRONG Q: David the new fud is you guys are making bank off of maintenance fees😂. I don’t see there being any leftover $ after the vps fees. Can you reply to this so the next time it comes up we have a message to send back
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Maintenance fees come in. Expenses go out. Running 96k nodes is not cheap, nor is building out new protocols and pools. We’ll be announcing some new pools where we have saved up fees and will use those to create validator, $ETH 2.0 and other nodes (1/2)
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope that anyone can participate in. Those underlying funds will be locked in those pools, perhaps for years. Our goal is long-term sustainability of the protocol for the community, using all the resources we have. (2/2)
$STRONG Q: What’s your take on the Chinese ban of crypto recently?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Which one? The one this September, or last year, or September 2017, or? 😂😂
$STRONG Q: How many individual wallets operate nodes at the moment?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope According to the daily stats (just looked at them), over 20k.
$STRONG Q: @investorbacon do you plan on stopping the current eth nodes at 100k nodes?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope No cap right now.
$STRONG Q: any update to team size and expansion?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Oooh, good question. Was going to mention that. We onboarded 3 new people in August, and have added 5 people in September so far.
$STRONG Q: David, there was recent news that major investment firms are now focusing on Ethereum over $BTC (JPM, Fidelity, etc.). Is the transition something you expected?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Ethereum rocks. Most smart contracts are in Solidity. It’s much more practical. Just slow and expensive right now.
$STRONG Q: Question if my node is not a validator node or a miner node then what is it ?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope A Full Node with an RPC endpoint.
$STRONG Q: Do you still plan on offering treasury or bond or vault services in the future or anything similar?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Those terms are from someone speculating on what we’ll do. The idea is to create opportunities for people from all walks of life to participate. So, many ideas are on the table.
That's it from this weeks AMA. Thank you David! Have a nice weekend!

$STRONG Q: What feedback have you gotten from Sentinel? Would they like to have more nodes from the Strong community? Do you see a benefit to Strong as a community or company to deploying more sentinel nodes beyond the rewards that they’re not yet prepared to offer? $DVPN
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We’ll be talking with Sentinel again next week. We’re waiting to find out when they will provide node-based protocol rewards. However, we are working on a new overall approach for ALL protocols that may alleviate some of the rewards issues.

$STRONG Q: Hi David could you give us any updates on any changes to node rewards . As I believe you and the team have been working on ways to make the project sustainable with halvings?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope We have several models. Working with our advisors, we’re trying to come up with a hybrid model that will include validator and other pools. These pools would in turn contribute to the sustainability of rewards.

Highlights from $STRONG AMA with @WithoutTheRope:
- Swiss economics advisor yesterday said that he thinks if were able to implement the ideas we have right now - we could go to infinity (rewards pool)
- Next protocol will be released soon. The press release is being prepared now
- We may move to Polygon or Fantom - many low gas choices for running EVM
- Will likely need $STRONG & $MATIC to create nodes for @0xPolygon
- Teams tokens locked until July 1, 2023, with quarterly releases & can only be safely sold into the market by a third party market maker
- Team working on making nodes straight from your rewards - wont have to claim then create a node
- New protocol reached out to @Strongblock_io team last week and within 15 mins they had an agreement - thanks to the node army spreading the word

$STRONG Q: hey david for polygon protocol, will nodes be created using matic? same with rewards or?
$STRONG A: @WithoutTheRope Were talking about that with Polygon. We met with them this week. Our preference would be a combination of STRONG & MATIC contributed & rewarded. Were looking at going deeper with Polygon on NFTs as well as their infrastructure. Nothing committed yet.
