Recently got an email asking if I had to double cross anyone to get into the animation industry? This isn't some tv drama, dude. I get that it's hard to get in but I seriously want to put to bed the idea that we are at each others throats. Like-
maybe it's the optimist in me, but I rather turn that kind of thinking around to "I aspire to work alongside these amazing artists and uplift them instead of tearing them down".
There are so many threads on the topic of "getting into animation" so I wont be repetitive here but maybe consider taking some time to 1. Practice healthy mental habits. It takes time but it's so worth it for the sake of your well being and-
2. Your co-workers or classmates are not your enemy. We are all learning from each other and constantly improving our skill sets together. We are all in this together!
To end this thread: In reality, the majority of the animation industry all go thru art imposter syndrome, we all make fan art, we all geek out over shows/games, we still take art classes to improve and we all just want a drink at the end of the day 🍻we're more alike than u think
