I've written tons of threads around Web Development, Growth Hacks.

If you write threads, you can get sh*t ton of new followers.

But most of them suck at writing attention-grabbing hooks.

Here are 7 frameworks that will help your audience stop scrolling.

Thread 🧵 ↓
What Is a Hook?

A hook is something that draws the audience's attention and makes them want to see what will happen next.

The audience stops scrolling when they see something mysterious.

A hook is like bait.

You hook someone and make him curious to hear the story.
Why Is a Good Hook Important?

You need to give reason to your audience to invest their time in what you have written.

With a good hook, you can completely immerse your audience into your content.

People will ignore your thread if the first tweet doesn't make sense to them.
1. Your title is your first hook

When you write threads, No one is going to see the sub-tweets at once, Instead, they will only see the first tweet.

You need to give strong reasons to the readers to open your thread.

Think of how you can target your audience with emotion.
2. Leave your audience in suspense

This will generate more curiosity amongst the audience and the desire to click and read the thread.

They will be curious to know what's cooking inside. Image
3. Leaving your audience with a question

Setup a scene with leaves your audience to come up and think about the answers.

Chances are that your audience will start thinking as soon as they see your post are very high. Image
4. Make a surprising statement

Starting your thread with a controversial or unexpected statement will encourage your audience to keep reading.

Make sure your content is living up to the expectation in the subsequent threads. Image
5. Tell the audience they are not doing it right

This is a clear sign the most of them will tap on the thread to test their knowledge and deep dive inside.

It alerts the audience that they are doing something wrong which could be improved. Image
6. Show them the stats

It is very clear that you have done the homework and are ready to share your finding with the audience.

You are saving hours by doing research on your own. Image
7. Statement hook

Statement hooks often make the reader either want to argue against your view or follow along with your thoughts.

The audience will read the thread because it is with or against their thought process. Image
8. Tell your personal stories

Personal stories are the ones that get the biggest impression, Everyone loves to hear story especially when you are sharing your experience.

It will bring you more profile clicks, everyone is interested to see who are you. Image

Learning programming is hard.

I felt like quitting 6 years back when I started my web development journey.

But I survived in TECH and I love it now.

Here are 21 lessons I wish I'd known earlier in my career.

THREAD 🧵 ↓
{ 1 } Choose a language

There are an unbelievable number of programming languages out there.

But, the thing is, you need to start slow.

Pick one thing at a time and practice as much as possible. Then, you can move on to the next.
{ 2 } Understand a programming concept

You may be tempted to cut corners when learning a new programming language. While it's OK to use Google to find answers, don't by-heart the syntax.

If you don't remember the syntax that's fine, but remembering the concept is a must.
