Politics of mixed race people:
It seems like there are a lot of mental health issues and some physical health issues associated with being mixed race, and that interracial couples generally do worse on desirable outcomes.
How ever most multiracials feel proud of their identity, despite feeling slightly less satisfied with their lives than the general public.
It is interesting that there are health issues, because Hispanics are also mixed race, and they live longer than whites, hence the "Hispanic health paradox". It is possible that this could be due to the types of people who marry out.
It would be interesting to compare the increased prevalence risk of your child having an adverse health issues between race-mixing and cousin marriage.
