Anthony Payton was born and raised in the housing projects of Brooklyn, NY; in the 90's, during the peak of the War on Drugs and mandatory minimums, Anthony was sentenced to 10 years prison for drug distribution and possession.
Today, Anthony is a freelance writer and popular columnist who uses his voice to highlight critical issues, tell important stories, and share the realities of life after incarceration. One of his most popular series, “The Common Ground Initiative” (@NewsGranite)...
