The state included an exhibit of recorded jail phone call of Swinney expressing how he was glad a women got shot with a paintball, but says he can prove he wasn't the one who did it. He then says the guy he shot, shouldn't have been walking with a violent mob. At the point

Another Back the Blue participant took the stand in defense of Swinney, but he said he left the rally early when things got dangerous. Both him and @trimet employee said they witnessed or were victims of crime, but didn't report it.

Husband of Dixie Bailey, Chris Bailey, took the stand (electronically). Chris was asked if he has criminal record (he said no), then state, judge and defense discussed shortly about stalking order related to controversy around Swinney's defense fund. Then jury entered.

Chris Bailey was asked about paintballs (400) being donated to him at his cigar shop, 2-4 weeks before A22. Bailey says he doesnt know who the donor was, but they were for Swinney who picked up 2 bags & left rest. He helped raise legal fees as he wanted to support him however

The defense actually focuses in on me filming in video exhibit. When asked, Alan says he doesnt know me too be violent, but gets close while filming, gets in his way and blocks his view. This was a weird thing to note

Alan admitted to bear spraying people on Aug 15, and explains when someone is wearing a gas mask, you can paintball them in the face mask to blind them, they will take off mask and bear spray will be effective. This was while reviewing video where he shot someone in the gut.

Swinney claims he only shot people throwing things. He says he wouldn't have shot her unless she was throwing things. But he already admitted to shooting people on "accident" on Aug 15 (he shot me in sunglasses too). Says he has never seen her (I think Megan) in her life.

Swinney was made aware he was being sought by police for questioning. Detective Jones (I believe PPB liason) called Swinney, and Swinney told him what happened. Talked to him 3 or 4 times.

State had Swinney acknowledge the half a dozen weapons he carried & protective gear he wore.Asked if he was dressed for battle. Said he was dressed for free speech in Portland.When asked if he wore that only in Portland,response was "anywhere that is infested with blac bloc"

Swinney answers question saying he never goes to left wing rallies. I'm almost positive Swinney has gone downtown to George Floyd Protests. He says he has only been to one right wing protest (In DC) where it wasn't opposed.

Trial is gonna go into next week with closing arguments and deliberation. Starting Monday at 9am. Jury chose bagels, and not pastries for food next week. Sounds like a responsible jury.
